Spent 2 nights at this amazing hotel with an old world charm yet modern to the just the right degree. The hospitality displayed by all the staff was unreal along with their 5 star service which was personalised to our each and every request. We had an intimate event on of the evenings for a few guests which was executed perfectly with the utmost care and excellent service. The food was a gastronomical delight.. A special thank you goes out the Front office team (Vidura/Keloni/Viraji and all who assisted in numerous ways) Lahiru & Gamini and the rest from Housekeeping, Indika, Dharmakeerthi & Devi from F&B and most importantly Chef and his team.. words cannot express the gratitude I wish to offer. I also would like to thank Avantha who assisted with the booking from the start and the Director Operations for allowing all our last minute requests. A big thank you to all, we hope to return soon.

This may be my favourite place in Sri Lanka. A huge, sprawling hotel with a beautiful, deep pool, bar, large dining room, gym, even pool tables, with river views and massive rooms, and an old world charm. The food is great, but it's the service that's extra special. Messrs Indika and Lahiru (?) could not have been better. Always ready to help with whatever you need. I'm already looking forward to coming back.
