We had a very pleasant stay at Queens Hotel Kandy. The hotel has a wonderful colonial charm and beautifully preserves its traditional character, offering a unique blend of British architecture and warm Sri Lankan hospitality. The building itself is full of history and elegance, and while it retains its traditional style, it is clean, well maintained, and comfortable. We particularly loved the classic colonial features, which give the hotel a timeless atmosphere that is difficult to find elsewhere. The staff were efficient, friendly, and always willing to help. From check-in to check-out, everyone was professional, welcoming, and eager to ensure that guests had an enjoyable stay. Their excellent service and genuine hospitality made a real difference to our experience. If you are looking for a hotel with character, history, and authentic Sri Lankan hospitality in the heart of Kandy, Queens Hotel is an excellent choice. We would happily stay here again.

Amazing place to stay in the heart of Kandy with excellent accessibility to all major attractions. Located directly opposite the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and overlooking the lake on the other side, the hotel offers beautiful views from the rooms. The rooms are slightly dated, but they maintain a sense of quality and comfort. While the bathrooms could benefit from updated fixtures, it was not a major concern during the stay. The food was excellent, especially the breakfast buffet, which offered a satisfying variety of options. The service was outstanding throughout — the staff were highly professional, attentive, and always willing to accommodate requests. Overall, this is a wonderful place to stay for anyone looking to explore Kandy and its surrounding attractions. Highly recommended.

hotel has a history that makes staying here worth the price and experience, walking into the lobby, one is transported back in time to a space of 1800s as they have preserved the hotel in it's origin condition.the high ceilings with hanging lights, wide red carpeted stairs and antique birdcage elevators adds bring out the beauty and charm of old.we booked a city view room and was upgraded to a pool view room, where it's less quite and the rooms more exquisite.hotel breakfast restaurant overlooks Kandy lake, giving the morning meal another layer of admiration as we dine in wood furnitured environment.location is superb, Kandy Lake and Buddha Tooth Temple just across the street and the Big Buddha Temple less than 25mins stroll away.lots of good food places around for one to explore and eat.rooms are old but charming that way, the wooden floors creak and is uneven but that's the fun of staying in a hotel with almost 200years of history.staff are charming and friendly, always ready to help. a prestigious hotel in Kandy, highly recommended for anyone who visits this beautiful city on a mountain top.
