What a wonderful hotel. Although in centrally located in this busy city it was a serene and quiet haven! It was easy to access the city and we have visited so many temples and cultural sites - a vibrant and fascinating place to visit. The hotel staff were all so kind and helpful they really helped to make our short visit extra special. Thank you in particular to your helpful and interesting evening restaurant staff. We loved our stay with you. Thank you so much.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Wonderful Stay at The Baber Mahal Vilas I had the pleasure of staying at The Baber Mahal Vilas last night, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The property has a unique charm, beautifully blending Nepalese heritage, history, architecture, and modern luxury. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the elegant atmosphere and the attention to detail throughout the property. The rooms were comfortable, beautifully designed, and full of character, while the overall ambience was peaceful and relaxing. The hospitality was warm and professional, and the staff were attentive and welcoming throughout my stay. What makes Baber Mahal Vilas special is that it feels much more than just a hotel—it gives you an opportunity to experience a part of Kathmandu’s rich heritage while enjoying the comfort of a luxury property. Overall, it was a memorable stay, and I would definitely recommend The Baber Mahal Vilas to anyone looking for a distinctive and refined experience in Kathmandu. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Excellent service, liked the palatial experience. Well maintained. However, breakfast was a let down. Limited options and food was cold or undercooked. Spa is a good option. The masseuse was very good, however would have preferred the spa area to have light music / offer hot tea to better the experience.Overall, enjoyed our stay and would love to be back.

We had a very memorable stay at Baber Mahal Vilas and would highly recommend for Kathmandu stay. We had a Heritage Room and the old world charm was everywhere in this wing of the property- paintaings, richly decorated tapestry, bookshelves, rich soft sofas to sink into. The room also was very well appointed -rich and ornate in most aspects and probably has the best bathroom door I have seen- a stained glass door! The hospitality and the staff were excellent throughout - from check-in to room service to restaurants. Sarisma at the reception was very helpful in providing guidance and always booking cabs using the local app- a big plus. Overall the hospitality of all the staff is highly recommended. The Breakfast was included and good food. Also Sauna and Steam Room were available till later in the night - very flexible. The property is big, there are shops and restaurants within the courtyard so we could eat within the hotel without needing to go out. The only small caveat would be location - it's on a side street and for Taxis/Cabs - it's a narrow approach - but there are always guards to guide them so not a practical issue. Wonderful stay overall.

Extremely awesome value for money. Top class accommodation and service. Heaps of room and extra balcony area. Very well appointed rooms. Service once again an easy 5 ⭐️ compared with anywhere else on the planet. Very emotional experience being here in Nepal with the safety, Service, and great value. Definitely a bucket list location to appreciate what we have at home. Thank you Nepali People. 🙏

We loved Baber Mahal for its hospitality and subtle touches. The rooms were individually unique. When we mentioned that we wanted rooms with separated beds they immediately obliged and switched us out. The room was cozy. Westerners might find it a bit smaller, but it is well thought through. The bathroom was nice but the water didn't drain and so it left a puddle after two showers, soaking up the foot mat. The toilet also abutted the neighboring property and so we could hear folks talking throughout the day. The courtyard and exteriors are lavish and gorgeous with intricate carvings. The shops and the restaurants are cute and display the perfect mix of Nepali and Indian aesthetics. Food was very delectable. We had only breakfast but felt pampered on the rooftop. The hotel is not really close to anything and I had to give the address to taxi drivers. Many didn't seem to recognize the name off the bat. There is a Himalayan Java shop nearby. The front desk changed our dollars for a good rate (they charge a 2.5% fee). They also called cabs. Overall this hotel is a great place for the price to experience incredible local hospitality and architecture.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Baber Mahal villas, the staff were extremely kind and helpful. The place felt authentic and the grounds were incredibly beautiful with many thoughtful details. We enjoyed the pool and sauna and the massage treatments from Poonam and Res were some of the best we’ve had (perfect after trekking). I love that there were so many restaraunts to choose from and I also really enjoyed the artisan shopping precinct (great for buying souvenirs). Would definitely stay here again!
