Truly exceptional Service... doesn't matter what time of day, the breakfast is exceptional, the staff are all cordial and speak excellent English. While this is a tremendously safe city, the presence of capable security officers 24/7 adds to the feeling of security. Location is great, currency exchange is next door as are 2 great spas. I had one of the finest massages in my life yesterday. Oh, the shower/bathroom is top-notch. And for some reason, these towels are some of the most robust I've seen even @ 5 star resorts. This is a fine hotel, I offer my highest of recommendations...

I was in a rush because I had to find a hotel for a few days and Kathmandu Grand Hotel was a lucky break. It was right by where I wanted to be, exceptionally clean, wonderful service and a great view at night. I stayed on the top floor. My only gripe is the lack of an elevator, but honestly it was worth it. I couldn't have asked for anything better. Maybe a rooftop Jacuzzi? Hey we can dream can't we? 😂

The room was big and clean. The bathroom warm shower felt good. Staffs were courteous, helpful and friendly. Services were excellent and I loved the hotel free of charge baggage storage facility while I was temporary away for bike packing trip. Breakfast was delicious. Many restaurants and souvenirs shops in vicinity.

It's close to Thamel city center. Perfect place to stay for budget friendly travellers. Staff's service and behaviour is also up to the mark relating their pricing. Though the most attractive feature about this hotel is their breakfast service to me. So diverse within limited dishes.

The host at the reception and Ashokji made our stay comfortable. They are very sweet and took good care of us. The rooms and clean tidy and the hotel is situated in thamel, so everything is near for tourists. Scooty rentals and money exchanges are also available near the hotel.
