Stayed there for a night. Location wise, it was great as it was right at the centre. Room was quite big, but the majority of the things including wardrobe and TV were just for decoration. For some reason water in the bathroom area was really dirty as if mud was mixed with it. I was planning to take a good shower before starting my day, but everything was ruined due to very dirty water. I had to wash my face with mineral water.

I liked the location. I stayed nine days. The hotel was walking distance to Durban Square and other local temples. The room rate was very good and the breakfast and overall service were excellent. The room and bath were clean and adequate. Both needed a lot of minor repairs...broken dresser drawer handles and quite a bit of caulking in the bathroom. There wasn’t an elevator and my room was on the 4th floor. But if you’re in Nepal you should be able to handle a few extra flights of stairs a couple of times a day.

Pros: - Location (neighborhood Thamel is very central) - Room aesthetics (modern feel with cool lighting). Cons: - Wifi didn't work for our stay of 2 days, after multiple conversations with reception. - When checking out they couldn't process credit cards (even though I had specifically asked during check-in). Had to run to the ATM and pay hefty transaction fees. - Bathroom door didn't close, safety locker didn't close, and even front door didn't close reliably. - Foyer light flickered consistently. Overall, the brief stay was riddled with inconveniences. Previously I have stayed in a cheap hostel in Kathmandu that worked better in these respects.

It feels like the hotel once offered a premium stay, but over time, maintenance has been neglected, and it shows. The chair needs repair; the overhead lights and bathtub drainage were not working properly; and amenities such as handwash and shower gel should have been provided. Location-wise, it is in the center of Thamel and by the road, so vehicle and crowd noise are noticeable.

Surprised by the positive reviews. The hotel was extremely dirty throughout, particularly our room and beds which were covered in grime. The toilet had a leak, meaning that the bathroom floor was constantly soaked and smelled. Service was also very poor, as our room still wasn't ready an hour and a half after the stated check-in time, meaning we had to just wait in the reception. The only positive aspect was the friendly security guard. Overall cheap prices but definitely not worth it as there are much better places nearby.
