On first arriving at the hotel, we were delighted to find it tucked away in a beautiful corner of a picturesque piazza, complete with stunning outdoor seating and greenery all around. Inside, the hotel had a charming boutique feel, with a distinctly Renaissance-style atmosphere. The stone walls, stained-glass features, and Juliet balconies gave it a wonderfully romantic character. The staff were excellent throughout our stay. Reception staff were warm and welcoming, while the breakfast team were attentive and friendly. On the day we left, we had an early flight and needed to depart before breakfast service began. The staff kindly prepared a packed breakfast for us to take away and even let me take a croissant from the buffet before it officially opened. It was a thoughtful gesture that was greatly appreciated. This hotel would have been perfect if only it had been located somewhere else! As the old town is a labyrinth of narrow cobbled streets, with buildings practically on top of one another, you expect some level of noise. The traditional single-glazed windows do little to block out sounds from outside, which is understandable in a historic property. Unfortunately, our room (Room 6) was directly above a jazz bar that hosted live music every night until well after midnight. Once that finally ended, we could hear the DJ from a pub behind the hotel until around 1:00am. This was then followed by the clean-up operation, with scraping chairs, clinking glasses, and loud drunken conversations echoing through the streets. Sleep was virtually impossible before 1:30am. It's such a shame because, in every other respect, this hotel was idyllic. The beautiful setting, romantic atmosphere, and exceptional staff made it a place we would have loved to return to, but the relentless nighttime noise sadly overshadowed what could have been a perfect stay.

Charming historic gem in the heart of Kotor – with a lively nightlife! We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Monte Cristo. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the middle of the Old Town with everything you need within a short walking distance. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, even arranging a seamless transfer to the airport for us. The hotel itself is set in a beautiful historic building, with very stylish and authentic period decor that feels true to its roots. The only thing to be aware of is that due to its central location, there are several restaurants with live music and nightclub-style venues right next to the hotel that play loud music until late into the night. If you're a light sleeper and go to bed early, it might be a bit challenging. However, my best advice is to simply join the party until it ends successfully—after that, a great night's sleep is guaranteed! Highly recommended!

We weren’t staying at this hotel but were looking for breakfast, and the outside tables in a quiet side street caught our attention. The poached eggs with hollandaise and avocado on bread were good, as was the coffee. Service was also friendly. Although this is a hotel, prices weren’t much dearer than other independent eateries. Many breakfast options in Kotor, so didn’t return. But worthy of a visit.

Great location in the Old Town of Kotor. Great welcoming staff. They have private parking. Room was nice with view to the courtyard above a Jazz club so we had nice music. If you close the windows it is sound proof and you can't hear anything from outside. Breakfast was great

Wonderful front reception and warm hospitality. They help you with parking as well via whats app directions. You can also WhatsApp the front desk for any other questions. They were fully booked but they still allowed an hour late checkout for us which gave us more time in the morning to explore Kotor!! Loved the location and breakfast too!

We stopped by and had a meal.the food was ordered and came almost immediately which was too quick and led us to believe that the food is pre cooked. Unfortunately the rice was not fully cooked and was very mushy. The meat not tender. I wouldn’t recommend

Wow, what a great Hotel. |Everyone from reception to the restaurant were superb.|Reception arranged a couple of trips for us - perfect. They emailed the day before to see if we wanted transfer - we did take this option and it was perfect and starts the holiday in the right way as when you 1st arrive in the Old Town it can be quite confusing (especially with mine and my wife directions :)) Everyone in the hotel so friendly and helpful, a great selection for breakfast - we also ate in the restaurant a couple of times, and amazing fresh food, and tentative staff|Yes we saw the comments about the noise and yes at 1st it was a shock - but you are in the middle of the town and soon get used to it, and a small sacrifice.|A lovely touch half way through was a bottle of red was put in the room, small touches like that go along way. When we return to Montenegro again - we will definitely be using this hotel again. Also if you do the Blue cave boat tour (you will be asked on the streets a lot of times) worth paying the 5 euro extra and go through the hotel as you know then you get the better experience. Thank you to the Monte Cristo team for such a great experience and time.

the service was amazing and the food was delicious! especially the home made tiramisu. We always found this restaurant to be quite empty, so we were hesitant to try - but we are glad we did as it was absolutely great.
