I’ve never made a negative hotel review before but I would like to warn some potential guests about this hotel. It’s a shame because the view, pool & beach is so beautiful, but the service is the worst I’ve ever had. Firstly the check in - there are no signs/ information whatsoever and you have to self- park your car (which we eventually did in their garage, only to be told after we will be charged 20 euro per night). No one assisting with luggage, we had to find our own way to the reception from our car. The receptionists were consistently unfriendly, unprofessional and unhelpful. One night, we asked them to order us a taxi. After waiting over 20 minutes and asking for their whereabouts, they rolled their eyes, shrugged their shoulders and said to wait because there’s traffic. They didn’t try to assist in ordering us a different taxi or helping us find another way, eventually we had to cancel our taxi because we were late for our dinner reservation. The housekeeping was really the bare minimum - just a change of towels, we couldn’t even tell if they had cleaned our room or not. Breakfast was probably one of the worst hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had - it felt like an overcrowded market rather than a restaurant ( although I must say all the breakfast staff were extremely kind & hardworking ). Every morning, there was a huge line at the egg station and the coffee was terrible. The only good thing about this hotel is the private beach and the staff at the beach weren’t as bad as the receptionists. If you don’t care about service etc and just want a private beach you should book here, otherwise if you’re looking for quality and service, you’ll be highly disappointed.

We had an exceptional stay at Huma Hotel, made truly memorable by the incredible warmth and hospitality of the entire team. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that everyone here works with genuine passion and goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and cared for. A special mention must go to Ranjeet, who was exceptionally helpful, attentive, and welcoming right from day one. Another big thank you to Lamis at the breakfast egg station for starting our mornings with such delicious food and a bright, friendly smile. We also had a fantastic experience at Shanti Spa—the ladies there were wonderfully skilled, professional, and created such a relaxing atmosphere. While I unfortunately couldn’t catch everyone’s name, every single staff member we encountered was kind, polite, and eager to help. Thank you to the entire team for your dedication and wonderful service—I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and look forward to returning!

Our stay at Huma Hotel was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The staff were incredibly warm, professional, and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The hotel is beautiful, spotless, and offers a truly relaxing atmosphere. One of the highlights of our visit was the spa. We booked the private VIP spa for two hours, and it was an unforgettable experience. The facilities are truly world-class, creating a luxurious and peaceful atmosphere where we could completely unwind. What impressed us even more was the excellent value for money—the quality of the experience far exceeded the price. The hotel’s beach was another highlight. It was exceptionally clean and well maintained, with beautiful white pebbles and crystal-clear water. The beach restaurant served delicious food, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the stunning surroundings. The biggest surprise, however, was the hotel’s fine dining restaurant. Even though we explored several restaurants in the city, the best meal we had was at Huma Hotel. Every dish was outstanding, but the tuna carpaccio deserves a special mention—it was simply exceptional and the highlight of our culinary experience. Thank you to the entire Huma Hotel team for making our stay so special. We will definitely be back and highly recommend Huma Hotel to anyone looking for outstanding hospitality, world-class spa facilities, exceptional dining, and a beautiful beachfront escape.

Stayed here 9-14 May, as a couple with my husband. The hotel location and view from our sea view room was just stunning. Rooms: there are Rituals shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and moisturiser in the room so all you need, there are bathrobes and slippers provided and 2x bottles of water a day. There is a mini bar we used this for our drinks but did not use any of those provided. Also a hairdryer and two safes. Views from the room are 10/10. Got to watch cruise ships sail into port and also see those moored outside. Facilities, we didn’t use the sauna/stream rooms or gym but did look around them and they looked great, gym very well equipped. The private beach and beach bar were great you collect your beach towel and there were many sun loungers available and the sea swimming cold but lovely. Never had a problem getting a lounger we went to the beach after a day out so between 16:00-19:00. Were were bed and breakfast stay there was enough selection, some of the hot breakfast items were warm rather than hot but there was enough to choose from, you could get a fresh omelette made to order, barista to make coffee to order and good choice or juice, ginger shots and could even make fresh squeezed orange juice. Location of the hotel, a 2km walk into Kotor old town, picturesque walk alongside the bay with minimal traffic takes about 30-45 mins walk, some restaurants close by and then wider selection and larger supermarket in Dobrota. Buses run every hour and every 2 hours on a Sunday so walking was our preferred option. We did however get the bus to Perast and return back very good value. Tip take Euros as cash is preferred to card.

I had an excellent experience at Huma Kotor Bay. From the moment of arrival until check-out, everything was at a very high standard. The staff were extremely professional, friendly, and always ready to help, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The rooms are modern, very clean, and offer stunning views of the Bay of Kotor. The food in the restaurant was outstanding, with a great variety of fresh and well-prepared dishes, beautifully. Merçi beacoup chef! 🙏 Service throughout the hotel was consistently excellent, with attention to every detail. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel as a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Kotor Bay. See you soon!

Hotel Location: 5 minutes by car from Kotor Old Town. Parking: The hotel has an underground parking garage. Reception: A competent and attentive team. Rooms: The hotel consists of 5–6 different buildings, including villa-style and apartment-style buildings. The rooms are spacious. Housekeeping: Excellent. Mudra: It has a beautiful view and an excellent chef. Everything we tried — appetizers, main courses, side dishes, and desserts — was excellent. Breakfast: Terrible experience. By far the worst part of the hotel. It is very crowded and it is difficult to find a table. You have to wait in line for coffee. You can only sit at a table after someone leaves and after waiting your turn, if you are lucky. The tables that have been vacated are often dirty, but they take too long to be cleaned. The staff are inattentive. By far the weakest part of the hotel. Spa: A professional team. I highly recommend it. Beach: You need a towel card to get a beach towel. The beach is pebbly, the sea gets deep suddenly, and the water is cold and very salty. Swimming in the sea with such a beautiful view is enjoyable. The only downside is that the bar area is inadequate. The staff are once again inattentive, and the bartender is not very competent.

I loved my stay in Huma, Kotor bay. The room was clean, comfortable and cool. It has Rituals toiletries, which I love. In the room we had a coffee maker and a fridge. Housekeeping was twice a day. You can’t drink the tap water, even boiled. That’s why there was bottled water brought every day. Couple times I ran out drinking water. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever experienced! There was EVERYTHING! A chef making omelets, an orange juice juicer for fresh juice, healthy shots, a sparkling wine… but the most exciting for me was a barista making specialty coffees to order! The staff was so nice and friendly! Thank you Sam for the coffees! Thank you Wai Wai, thank you Kumar , thank you Hari Krishna and Hari Krishna! Thank you so much to their lead man for making my birthday special! The beach was spacious and comfortable. The water is soooo clear! The same staff from breakfast were working at the bar on the beach. The cocktails were delicious!! I enjoyed using the gym every day! I had my manicure done by a wonderful lady! I also enjoyed a yoga class on the beach with Anja. I think the hotel can advertise more the yoga class. Anja lead me amazingly! We also took bicycles few times. It wasn’t a cheap holiday but I loved every minute of it!

Friendly advice: I would not recommend booking this hotel far in advance unless your reservation includes free cancellation. In my case, I booked 1,5 months ahead at a much higher price, only to see the exact same stay drop by more than 40% about one to two weeks before arrival. Last-minute guests could book even higher room categories for significantly less. This pricing policy makes early bookings feel unfair rather than rewarding. I also recommend choosing hotel payment whenever possible, as you may encounter additional surprise charges or taxes that are not identified with tour voucher. For Turkish travelers, I cannot recommend booking through local ETS Tur for international hotels based on my experience. When I raised this significant price difference before my trip, I did not receive a timely or satisfactory response, leaving the issue unresolved until my holiday had already started. Apart from that, the hotel itself is good. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the location and beach are very nice, although food and drinks inside the hotel are rather expensive. One important drawback is that the hotel does not provide proper extra beds for a third or additional adult. Instead, they use fold-out sofas, which are not as comfortable as real beds.
