Keereen Resort - Ao Nang Krabi

The best time to visit Krabi is from November to April, when the weather is dry and sunny with calm seas, making these the most pleasant months. The hottest stretch runs from March to May, with April often feeling particularly intense. The rainiest period is from June to October, when heavy showers are common, especially in September. Plan your trip between December and February for the most comfortable conditions before the heat builds.

For beachfront convenience, stay in Ao Nang, the main resort strip with dining and boat access to the islands; it suits most visitors. For a quieter, upscale feel, choose Klong Muang, where Nakamanda Resort & Spa sits by a calmer beach. If you want jungle-backed seclusion, Railay (reachable only by boat) offers Phra Nang Beach access but is less centered. Families and divers often pick Koh Lanta, southwest of the mainland, with long beaches like those near Avani+.

Wat Tham Suea, also known as Tiger Cave Temple, is a sacred site with a challenging climb to a sweeping viewpoint. Emerald Pool offers clear, jade-colored water for a refreshing swim in the jungle. Phra Nang Beach is a stunning beach with limestone cliffs and a cave shrine. Thale Waek is a sandbar connecting two islands, appearing only at low tide. Dragon's Crest (Ngon Nak Nature Trail) rewards hikers with panoramic views of the coast.

Day trips from Krabi go to the Phi Phi Islands, with their clear water and limestone cliffs. Hong Island offers a quiet lagoon and beach for snorkelling. The Four Islands tour covers Phra Nang Beach, Princess Cave, and Thale Waek sandbar. Inland, combine Tiger Cave Temple, Emerald Pool, and the hot springs in a single trip.

Three to four days covers the core sights: Wat Tham Suea, Emerald Pool, Phra Nang Beach and Thale Waek. Add an extra day for a day trip to Phi Phi or Hong Island. Five days gives a relaxed pace to also fit Dragon's Crest or the hot springs. Keep in mind that the weather and your travel speed will shape the schedule.
