A tranquil, well-run resort with magnificent sea views. After a disappointing first night elsewhere in Krabi, we were relieved to find ourselves at Nakamanda, a well- managed resort set amid lush tropical gardens. The low-rise, two-storey villas, built in traditional Thai style and nestled beneath tropical trees, blend naturally into the landscape. The beachfront location is superb, with the pool and restaurant right by the sea. We particularly enjoyed the magnificent views over breakfast, lunch and dinner, with the scenery taking on a different character throughout the day. Low tides in October somewhat limit the beach experience, but the excellent pool more than compensates. At around 130 per night, a 50% discount on the regular rate, it represented excellent value. We would, however, have happily paid more for a room with more contemporary furnishings. Overall, a peaceful and thoroughly enjoyable stay. Thanks Nakamanda team for saving Krabi leg of our holiday!

This is an outstanding resort for so many reasons. First and foremost, the staff is exceptional: attentive, genuinely friendly, and always ready to provide outstanding service. The resort features beautiful bungalow-style accommodations that blend seamlessly into the lush hillside setting. Our room was spacious and thoughtfully designed, with a comfortable living area, separate bedroom, and a large bathroom with double vanities. The nightly turndown service was a wonderful touch that made our stay feel even more special. The property is built into the hillside, with check-in located at the top and a network of well-maintained concrete pathways and stairs leading to the individual bungalows. Despite the walkways throughout the resort, the landscaping is so well designed that our windows overlooked tropical plants while still providing excellent privacy. The restaurant was excellent for both breakfast and dinner, offering a wide variety of delicious Thai, Indian, and Western dishes. The pool was another highlight, providing refreshing shade during the morning and plenty of sunshine in the afternoon. During our stay, we enjoyed a relaxing spa experience, choosing from their excellent selection of massage treatments and aromatic oils. We also booked a private long-tail boat tour through the resort, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. We were picked up directly from the resort's beach and taken to Hong Island, where we explored a beautiful beach, climbed the 419 steps to the breathtaking 360-degree viewpoint, and walked the nature trail. The beach at Hong Island was absolutely spectacular and I could have spent the entire day there and still not wanted to leave. We truly loved every moment of our stay at Nakamanda Resort & Spa. It offers exceptional service, beautiful accommodations, delicious dining, and an unforgettable setting. We would gladly return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Krabi.

We wholeheartedly recommend Nakamanda. This hotel is a perfect blend of stylish design, impeccable service, and absolute privacy.The private pool villas are beautiful and secluded, offering a true sanctuary. The staff is exceptional—attentive, personalized, and always smiling. While the beach is small, the stunning tiered pool and the excellent, tranquil spa more than compensate.It's ideal for couples or anyone seeking a luxurious, peaceful retreat away from the crowds, yet still close enough to visit Ao Nang.A truly flawless and memorable experience.

We have loved our stay at Nakamanda special shout out to Ree and Mut! Honestly we are fortunate enough to stay at lovely hotels all over the world and I rate this up there as one of the best! The staff are exceptional, the rooms are great and large. The pool is huge and right next to a beach. Plus free afternoon tea. Highly recommend this place to stay. We had our little baby and they went above and beyond, so many little touches, and beautiful little gifts left in our room! Stunning sunsets!

Without a doubt, these were some of the most memorable and enjoyable days of our trip. Great location if you like plenty to do but subdued and relaxed. Beach in front of the resort is rocky and scenic but either side of the hotel is beautiful sorft sand 45 mins walk either side great for this area of krabi. Rooms are old style thai with teak wood, silks and old thai ornaments and Immaculately maintained. We do travel around in thailand and came here after koh lanta staying at the Layana. It's as similar vibe, amazing caring staff . There are lots of low key good bars and restaurants just outside the resort on the road or a short walk down the beach for old style thai beach bar experience. Cant call it a hidden gem as its on mainland thailand, but its definitely a gem!

Nakamanda is an excellent hotel located on a quiet beach, just about 15 minutes from the town of Ao Nang. The property is exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The highlight of our stay was the outstanding, personalized service from the entire staff, who were always smiling and eager to help. The breakfast is also good. I highly recommend this hotel and definitely plan to return!

What an amazing stay we had. The staff were so lovely, especially Champ Matt Captain and all the others. Fantastic breakfast buffet, nice modern gym, beautiful landscaping. Lots of stairs but we didn’t mind that. We took a boat tour with Lee, who sat just outside the restaurant on the beach which was great also. Only downside is that the pool gets quite hot in the afternoon and the tide brings a bit of rubbish to the beach. Our aircon wasn’t powerful so it was a little warm now and then through the night. Still would highly recommend!!
