Truly a wonderful stay. Adrian is a world class host who provides so much care in his hospitality. He helped us with anything we needed and even gave amazing recommendations. If you get the pleasure of staying while he is there, you are very lucky. The rooms were incredible, extremely clean and well maintained. Very safe and walkable to everything — we walked to dinner every night. The volcano views are absolutely wonderful as well. The morning breakfast is made to order every morning. If it rains, the noise is so beautiful, especially at night. The value is great, and you can’t ask for a better atmosphere than one in La fortuna. Also, the hotel and Adrian provide you with great recommendations for activities if you haven’t already booked them as well. I would 100% return and stay here again. Thank you Adrian, Pura Vida!

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at La Fortuna Lodge. The room was clean and comfortable, with a TV, mini fridge, reliable hot shower, and a lovely balcony overlooking the gardens and mountains. Breakfast was delicious each morning, and the entire staff was warm and welcoming. A special thank you to Adrian, who was incredibly helpful with booking activities, sharing local recommendations, and even arranging an earlier breakfast on our departure day so we could head to the airport with full stomachs. We also appreciated the gated property and on-site parking, which made us feel safe throughout our stay. We would gladly stay here again!

The hotel is so lovely and fantastic value for money. The rooms are very clean and well equipped. There is a nice balcony, the bed is very comfortable and there is a/c as well as a ceiling fan. There also nice seating areas outside the room, like in the little garden, were we saw a humming bird, and in the lounge upstairs (open air, but protected from rain). The staff was super friendly and welcoming and also very helpful for deciding which activities to plan without having to organize them via them. The room was quiet and the view of the volcano from the balcony is fantastic. The location is amazing, everything yiu could possibly need is in walking distance. We fully enjoying our stay here and will definitely come back.

We had a great 2 night stay at La Fortuna Lodge. The location was perfect in downtown but off the main street so it was quiet. We booked a king premium room with view of the volcano and it was perfect sitting on the balcony overlooking the rooftops and volcano. The room was very clean and they provided toiletries. The TV was smart but we never turned it on. Not flushing your TP is always a culture shock, but we understand the reason and oblige. Provided breakfast was typical Costa Rica with a couple Americanized options. Everything was delicious including the free flowing coffee. The front desk had towels we could borrow which was helpful when we went to the waterfall. Everyone we encountered was very nice. This place has good reviews because they were earned and are deserved. We would stay here again.

Within walking distance to so many shops and restaurants. We felt very safe at all times. The upstairs lounge area was absolutely wonderful, and we spent multiple mornings and rainy evenings just sitting and relaxing. The breakfast was excellent, the coffee in the room and in the outdoor dining were amazing. The attentiveness of the staff, the friendliness, the willingness, just everything about this place was great. Of all the staff, however, Adrian was absolutely top-notch! He was friendly and took the time to remember you by name, saying hi and making sure everything is good. The only negative was the AC is a bit loud, but it worked!

This was my first time doing some international solo travel, needless to say I was quite nervous! I selected this place due to its proximity to the downtown area - hence very walkable. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed, especially given the affordable rates! Breakfast was delicious, the rooms were charming (more of a boutique feel, nothing fancy, but quite charming) and the customer service was phenomenal! The front desk employees were a pleasure to deal with. I felt safe the entire time, I cannot recommend it enough!
