Trip.com· 11 months agoOur room is just right next to road, noisy and smoky. But the receptionist is a nice lady, no place to hang laundry is very inconvenient too. As a hostel, it should have this basic facilities. Thought there is jagguzi and steam bath, no one is interested in them. Cooking facility is OK, stove and pots is available. Shower room not good as it is mix gender and too few toilet to use. Will stay somewhere else. The boss Tommy is speaking good English and warm personally. Plus point but very rare in the hostel.

Google· a year agoI booked on booking on 7.-8. August. I was travelling the whole night and arrived at 8:15, at the reception was no one. I received a message from a hostel, that I should contact them upon arrival. I did as in the message, called this number and asked a couple basic questions: where can I store my luggage, can I use the bathroom and what is the WiFi password (I had no intention to check in right now at the time, sure). The owner/receptionist responded: "You are asking to many questions, and you are calling early at 8:20, do you think that's ok?" - I responded yes that's totally normal, working day starts at 8 and there is normally always someone on reception in the morning, I have been to more than 100 hostels. Receptionist, literally: - Get the .... out of the place! What a disgrace. I have never experienced something like this before. After a couple of hours he cancelled my booking. I filed a complaint by booking.com and then had a nice stay in another hostel. I had a blink look through the place, furnishing was really worn down. Complete desaster

Tripadvisor· 5 years agoThe owner Tommy is such a kind person, made me feel like at home from first minute! Lovely atmosphere, hostel is cleaned everyday and the rooftop was cozy place to chill at the evenings with other guests (also there is jacuzzi). Location is great as is in city centre. Overall 5/5* will come back for sure!

Google· 3 months agoJust a bad hostel! Probably the worst hostel I was in. Only location is ok. Better to book somewhere else.

Google· 2 years agoThis hostel is fine if you're not planning to sleep before midnight. I stayed fri-mon and the surrounding pubs were blaring music until midnight. It's likely less noisy during the week. Nice rooftop, but no lounge/ common area. The bathrooms don't have a hand basin or mirror. The drains in the bathroom and kitchen seemed blocked as the water was slow to go down. The location is good if it weren't for the noise. Mostly men there when I stayed.

Google· 3 years agoGreat hostel to stay for a few days! The rooms are good size and they clean the rooms and bathrooms everyday. Tommy the owner was great and really helpful! The rooftop is small but nice with couches and tables, there is also a bar where you can buy beer. The location is amazing, close to bars and restaurants, and very close to the beach too. I gave it 4 stars because: the lockers in the room are too small, you can't fit your suitcase or backpack, you can only fit your personal stuff and small bag or a coat. I know now it is low season, but the hostel reception was empty all the time and if you need some help you have to call Tommy. Another thing, there is a bar downstairs and the music can be too loud during the evening/night, so if you don't like noises to sleep that can be annoying. It was a great experience to stay in the 17 hostel and I definitely recommend it!

Google· 3 years agoThe whole holiday was spoiled by one of the hostel workers. Slim adult bald man in panama. Very rude and obnoxious. I contacted him three times and all the time he showed his displeasure! I had to beg for a towel, if he asked if he could give two towels, the man said I had to pay money! When I asked if there was an iron in the hostel, he answered rudely, and with a sneer suggested “maybe I should call the cleaning lady?” Excuse me, but considering how dirty the shared bathrooms are, I could have called a cleaning lady! I was indignant that this was not a house or an apartment that I rented, but a hostel. Just because I'm renting a hostel doesn't give you the right to talk to me like that! The man is lucky that I do not speak his native language, otherwise there would be a scandal! I don't know which hostel owner, but this employee is the worst! Considers himself a king! Bad experience. The kitchen has all the utensils, but there is simply no salt. Shared toilets are dirty. On the top of the terrace, the cushions are torn and unusable. Every day they make the bed, I don’t know why to do it, if the sand after the sea remains in the bed.

Google· 3 years agoRegular hostel in Lagos. Nothing more and nothing less. I enjoyed to be city Center and near everything. Bunk bed would be needed to be updated. Curtains are always something necessary nowadays. It was clean enough. What I didn’t like. Do expect someone at front desk to help you to get around. When I was there. No one to be seen (it was winter season, maybe that’s why). Front door hostel always open. Didn’t feel super secure. Hotel room was never locked. If occupant don’t lock it will stay unlock. Locker are not big enough to get you backpack in it. And regardless the jacuzzi on the picture. It wasn’t there! Otherwise. A bit expensive for what it is. Seen way better for the price asked. Manager is very nice and helpful while is at his office.
