Highly recommend this hotel! What made the experience so memorable was the people. Every single staff member, went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. Their warmth and attentiveness felt genuine, never forced, and you could really sense that they enjoy what they do and take pride in the hotel.That positive energy made such a difference and elevated the entire stay. It’s rare to come across hospitality that feels this personal and sincere.Highly recommend, and I would gladly return again.

Beautiful hotel in every aspect! Great design, beautiful touches, especially in the common areas, photos don't do it justice. Room was small but very tastefully furnished, nice Santal toiletries, lots of sun protection amenities, even sunglasses, strange but amusing:). We were afraid that there might be some street noise but we were lucky, hardly any noise. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, it's like Japanese kaiseki but Lijiang style, worth staying here for breakfast alone! Afternoon tea was also nice and there are small snacks available all day in the restaurant. We had good night drinks, red wine or milk - we send a message message via WeChat when we got back to the room and they delivered it promptly. Location is great very close to the Sough Gate, nicest part of Lijiang, behind Indigo Hotel, so when getting a transport just go in front of Indigo. Staff was very helpful, they gave us nice recommendations and we received a small gift too (large tote bag). I can't fault this hotel, definitely recommended.

This is an excellent small hotel in the ancient old town of Lijiang. While the rooms are just big enough for a couple, the highlights of the hotel are the various outdoor public areas and courtyards where you can relax. The set breakfast changes daily and there are many extras they cook to order. The dining area is a great place to sit and have tea. If you ask the staff they will even bring you a kettle, cups, and a pot to brew it. The hotel provides free laundry service as well. However, the best aspect of the hotel is its superb staff. Everyday of our trip they provided excellent support, advice, and help in arranging trips, rental car, etc. Amy in particular was super helpful. Note: some level of Chinese is required in Lijiang.

Nestled at the southern end of Lijiang's old Town, Anyu exudes a quiet, refined, old world charm. Entering the wooden foyer opens into a serene courtyard, with a beautifully accented dining area overlooking both the street and courtyard. Rooms continue the theme, with antique sliding doors and slatted windows that open outwards. Rooms are small but organised, with space for a small armchair. Bathrooms are laid out in a linear fashion with shower, no bath, and heated floors in winter (luxury!). We never felt cold in winter. Thoughtful touches included UV umbrellas and UV block provided, and even sunglasses 😎. Breakfast is a gourmet experience, with a multicourse Yunnan meal (one a la carte item, changes every second day, and a small buffet section). Afternoons included a delectable tea. Coffee, tea and nuts available all day till 11 pm. Staff were really lovely, with only 20 rooms, they were able to provide a really thoughtful and personalised service.

Absolutely loved my stay at Lijian Anyu Hotel. The design is impeccable—every detail feels thoughtfully considered, from the subtle textures in the room to the way the lighting enhances the space. It’s clear the team truly cares about the guest experience. A special shout-out to the concierge, who was incredibly helpful, friendly, and genuinely caring throughout my stay. Made me feel completely looked after. Can’t wait to return

Loved my stay at ANYU Hotel in Lijiang! Honestly, one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at in China. The place is so cool—it's a beautiful old historical building with tons of traditional charm. You get the feeling of old-world Lijiang but with all the modern comfort you need.The staff were the best. So friendly and went above and beyond. For example, we had to head out for an early morning tour, and when we mentioned it, the hotel prepared a takeaway breakfast for us to grab on our way out. It was such a thoughtful touch and really shows how much they care. Speaking of food, the normal breakfast is fantastic too—loads of yummy local options and hotel also server great afternoon tea. Everything was spotlessly clean, which made the historic feel even better. Just a perfect, peaceful spot to come back to after exploring. Can't recommend ANYU enough. If you're coming to Lijiang, stay here! You won't regret it.

The staff are very attentive and wonderful. This place & its crew deserve more than 5 stars for their impeccable services. We were received at the city gate, our luggage was taken care of, and umbrellas were provided to make sure we didn't get wet. The staff was very sweet to remind us to wear additional layers to keep warm. I had problems with my luggage 😅, and help came quickly. Tea experience was wonderful but the icing on the cake was their crew - Tea were constantly topped, staff asked us to rest in our room when it was packed and offered to look for us when our tea is ready. He found us in the reading room quickly 😁. We had to leave early to catch our ride, and a hearty breakfast was packed for us. The room has turndown service at night and it is very clean and modern. We didn't get the names of everyone we met (we stayed from 9 to 12 Aug), but a big thank you for such a wonderful & unforgettable experience! We hope u like the little token of appreciation.
