IHG· a month agoI have stayed in so many intercontinental hotels. My wife and I have been deeply won over by the service staff in Lijiang intercontinental Ancient Town. The check-In was really smooth. We had a room which was close to the gate leading to the Ancient Town which was excellent. The reception staff used Wechat for communication and always made sure that we were well taken care of during the 4 days. Housekeeping team was excellent.The cleanliness of the room was according to standard. The housekeeping made sure we had plenty of water in our room everyday without us requesting for extra.They were very attentive to our needs. Breakfast pastry was the highlight of our meal.One of the recommended item is the Rose/Ham pastry and the Rose milk tea. I do hope that kitchen can provide a bit more protein/meat in the breakfast spread. Last but not least,I have to thank everyone in the hotel that made my birthday and wedding anniversary trip perfect..

IHG· 2 months agoWe returned to InterContinental Lijiang after four years, and the experience remains outstanding with true home‑away‑from‑home hospitality. Our previous stay was to celebrate our child’s 4th birthday. This time we travelled with our elderly family member to enjoy another wonderful stay at InterContinental. We received a warm welcome message prior to check‑in. Upon arrival, every team member greeted us with genuine, heartfelt smiles. From the bellhop assisting with luggage, front‑desk associates, shuttle cart drivers, to housekeeping staff delivering amenities, their thoughtful service made this the highlight of our multi‑province trip. Special thanks go to Anthony Huang at the front desk. He arranged everything meticulously, allowing us to relax completely without worries. At the Executive Lounge, Ada Sun is thoughtful, thorough, considerate and dedicated. Ivy and Lisa also delivered professional, attentive and friendly service that left a deep impression. We would also like to thank Zoe from the Food & Beverage department for her capable, composed and thoughtful service. The F&B offerings maintain consistently high standards with a wide variety of delicious dishes. Thank you InterContinental Lijiang for creating precious memories for my family and me. We look forward to coming back.

Trip.com· 4 months agoOur stay at the hotel was made truly memorable by the exceptional service provided by the staff, esp Deft, Jack, Kris and Steve. They were warm, proactive, and genuinely committed to ensuring guests had a comfortable experience. Whether it was assisting with our luggage, arranging buggy transfers within the property, helping us organise transportation, the staff handled every request efficiently and professionally. What impressed us most was their willingness to go above and beyond—they readily helped call attractions to check ticket availability, assisted with bookings, and even advised us on traffic conditions so we could plan our outings better. Their interactions with guests felt sincere and personalised rather than transactional.The hotel's location is also excellent. A convenient back gate provides direct access to Lijiang Old Town, while Zhongxin Night Market is just a short five-minute walk away.Our room was beautifully appointed with top-quality amenities. The robes felt wonderfully luxurious, and the pillow menu was a thoughtful touch that enhanced our comfort throughout the stay. The bath tub is longer than the standard size. My young children had a great time in it. Water pressure and temperature from the shower are also consistent. The lounge service was attentive and polished, although the food itself was fairly average. Breakfast offered an impressive variety of choices, especially on the first day. However, as the menu remained largely unchanged, we found ourselves becoming somewhat bored with the selection by the third day.The kids playroom was small but conveniently located just below the breakfast area. I could drop my children at the playroom after they were done with their breakfast so that I could have mine in peace. Overall, this is an outstanding hotel distinguished by its remarkable staff, excellent concierge services, luxurious room amenities, and convenient location. The dedication of the team is what truly sets this property apart.

During my stay, she was also very quick to respond to my questions by email and left me with a very positive impression of the hotel. She handled everything so professionally and thoughtfully, and I truly appreciate all the care she showed throughout my stay. Her prompt and thoughtful service was one of the reasons I now want to visit Lijiang again, even though getting there from Korea isn’t particularly convenient due to the lack of direct flights. See you next year as a Gold Elite member!

IHG· a month agoMy stay could at this could not be better. All the staff were very helpful, accommodating and kind. The grounds of the property is beautiful and beyond. Staff member Siven, especially helped make this stay better by finding my member ID which allowed me for an upgrade. He also helped me locate my package at the Indigo hotel in Dali. Provided with great food recommendations as well. I enjoyed my stay very much and would recommend this hotel to everyone. Thank you again.

Trip.com· 5 months agoThe hotel is really beautiful, it feels like you have stepped into a storybook while in Lijiang. The whole resort is very nicely designed and everything fits together so well – the houses, the surroundings, and the atmosphere. There are sculptures, gardens, lakes, and everything around gives that fairytale feeling.The rooms are spacious and very nice. I really liked the style and how they are designed and decorated. Everything is well equipped, with modern amenities like a good hairdryer, quality bath products, and everything you might need.The staff is also very kind and welcoming. From my side, I really have only good words. It is honestly one of the best 5-star hotels I have stayed in. Big praise to InterContinental for this experience. 👌🏻

IHG· 3 months agoI stayed at the hotel in Lijiang for three nights and was assisted by Miya during check-in. She was exceptionally polite, professional, and genuinely helpful from the moment we arrived. Although the hotel is, I believe, more than 10 years old, it has been exceptionally well maintained. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed with an oriental style, and the hotel's grounds provide a peaceful and relaxing environment for a stroll after a meal. As we were travelling as a family, I requested two rooms located close to each other. Despite the hotel being almost fully booked, Mia went above and beyond to accommodate our request, and we truly appreciated her effort. On one of the days, we had to leave very early for our trip to Yulong Snow Mountain and would miss the hotel's breakfast service. After learning about our itinerary, Mia thoughtfully arranged packed breakfasts for the three of us so that we wouldn't have to leave on an empty stomach. It was a small gesture, but one that reflected her genuine care and attention to guests. Throughout our stay, she regularly checked in with us to ensure everything was comfortable and to see if we needed any assistance. Her attentiveness, warmth, and dedication made us feel genuinely well looked after and greatly enhanced our overall experience. Thank you, Miya, for your outstanding hospitality. Your excellent service is a credit to the hotel. Staff like you make all the difference, and I would gladly stay here again. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lijiang.

IHG· a month agoWe had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed our time at the hotel. The room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming. What impressed us most was the warm and attentive service from the staff. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, professional, and helpful, which made our stay feel very pleasant and memorable. We truly appreciated the hospitality and would be very happy to stay here again in the future.
