Solid room and good customer service. The breakfast was splendid, with plenty of options and honestly nothing to complain about. A great way to start the day. The room was very spacious, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We also had a little couch and a swivel TV, which was a nice touch because we could watch it either from the bed or from the couch. The view wasn’t necessarily spectacular, but it was still nice to have a view over the city. The only thing I wasn’t a huge fan of was the smell in the lobby. It was quite strong and seemed to be either deodorizer or disinfectant, and it was a little too much for me. The location is great for getting around and doing several activities. The craft markets — Indian and Inca — were only about a 15-minute walk away, and there are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Miraflores Park is also close. Walking to the beach takes roughly 20 minutes, and the nearest beach is more rocky and pebbly than sandy.

The receptionists are very friendly, with warm smiles, as they welcome their guests. The facilities are very good and clean. The breakfast is good too!

The location in Miraflores is great, with a Catholic church and many restaurants at walking distance. The rooms are clean, with comfortable bed, good desk to work, and spacious wardrobe. The Italian Trattoria has good food and excellent service. Buffet breakfast was included in my rate. Very good cost-benefits ratio.

Our king bed duluxe room was quiet and comfortable. The reception on check in was nice and our bags were handled well. The gym was particularly good for being in a hotel and the offer of bottled water and a towel was nice. The reason we give 3 stars and not more for service is due to the issue of access to drinking water. You cannot drink tap water in Peru but every other place we have stayed at during our trip to Peru - including hostels - have provided easily accessible free drinking water through a water fountain or dispenser. The hotel did provide x2 500mL bottles on arrival but accessing drinking water beyond this proved difficult. We asked about having our water bottles refilled at reception and we were told that there are no fountains or dispensers and that this is only possible in the restaurant. This means you have a slightly awkward and uncomfortable experience requesting restaurant staff to refill your water bottles while they are busy serving food and drink to customers. The staff then filled our bottles with boiling water - assuming this was to make it sterilised water. As this was boiling, we could not drink it. After this experience and as it was late at night, we requested x2 500mL bottled water to the room prior to sleep which came to s/ 25 which is massively overpriced considering you can buy 1L for s/ 4 or less in a shop. We were not told the price of bottled water until it came to our room. After this we bought bottled water from a supermarket. Later we used the gym and we were given free bottled water and there was a water dispenser which confused us. It is unclear why this is only offered in the gym and not throughout the hotel given access to drinking water should be free and accessible to guests especially in a hotel chain which is otherwise widely recognised to providing a good service. If this issue could be resolved we would happily rate our stay higher but we felt that access to water was deliberately made uncomfortable, inaccessible and expensive which makes for an unpleasant service experience.

Very nice location and clean hotel. Definitely better than DoubleTree by Hilton hotels in US — slightly fancier. They have two restaurants on sight, a lovely small rooftop pool, gym, good breakfast, and other amenities. Only complaint is that while they are nice, the front desk staff can be slow to resolve an issue. They could not find my friend’s reservation took arrival… and it turns out it was their computer system, not us, but took a long time to fix. Otherwise everyone here is very friendly!

Update: 1 star ... they also decided to fix or remodel a room near us, loud hammering since 9am. Another first in my stay anywhere in the world at any hotel. NOTE: This is South America, which in general you can't expect the same attention to detail like in the US (even in top tier hotels), so keep this in mind. Wifi sucks, TV is functional, sometimes. Tap water isn't potable, which wouldn't be a big deal except they didn't mention it until I asked (see attention to details note above). One of the set of elevators mysteriously always goes down to the basement before going up to your floor, stopping on the 1st floor on the way back up (why? See note) Only 2 bath towels given for 3 people, in a room with 2 double beds...? (See note) Hot water in shower is binary. You get: too hot or too cold, take your pick. Asked for more drinking water over the phone and didn't receive any until I went down to reception and asked in person and hour later (see note). This is the only service issue I had while here for 2 nights/3 days. Otherwise the service was great.

Wow, doubletree at a higher level. Beautiful, upscale hotel. Easy check in. Very helpful employees. They connect with you via WhatsApp and took great care of us. |Perfect location, walking distance to amazing restaurants and sites.

My wife and I stayed here on two occasions before and after our Peru tour and we were not disappointed. One thing I would suggest is that you ask for a room with a view ( odd room numbers) as otherwise all you see from the room is a brick wall! Rooms are good with everything you need. We thought the breakfast was excellent too. (There is a choice of two restaurants where you can have breakfast) Location of the hotel is good as there are so many places to visit locally / plenty of shops and restaurants etc. There is a particularly nice Chinese restaurant immediately opposite the hotel too Highly recommended
