Google· 4 months agoWe’re spending our last night in London, and I just wanted to say how grateful we are for this wonderful hotel. The staff have been incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming throughout our stay. They were always happy to help, and every request we had was met with genuine care and efficiency. The hotel itself is so comfortable. The bed is amazingly cozy, the room is spotless and well maintained, and housekeeping did a fantastic job every day. After long days of exploring London, it always felt so nice to come back and relax here. The location is absolutely unbeatable. Almost everything we wanted to see was within walking distance, which made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. Whenever we got tired, we could simply walk back to the hotel for a short rest before heading out again. There are also so many great restaurants and cafés nearby, so even with jet lag we never had to worry about finding something to eat late at night. Honestly, staying here has been one of the best parts of our London trip. It made our vacation effortless, comfortable, and memorable, and we would absolutely love to come back. Thank you for making our stay so special!

Google· 2 months agoLondon’s hotel scene can be challenging, with small, noisy, and outdated rooms being the norm. However, we stumbled upon a gem that stands out as a great alternative and a hotel that truly cares about its craft. We arrived during peak season, so we understood that not all expectations would be met due to limited availability. Despite this, our room on the first floor was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. While the rooms are soundproofed from the outside, it’s not foolproof against the occasional loudspeaker on the street. When we reached out to the reception, they kindly suggested earplugs, which helped, but they also moved us to a quieter room facing their internal courtyard (though it lacked a street view). To make amends for the inconvenience, they generously offered a complimentary breakfast. Now, let’s talk about the deluxe room. It’s surprisingly spacious for London standards, with a great layout and immaculate cleanliness. They also provide complimentary mini-bar essentials that are replenished daily. The staff at this hotel is truly exceptional. They are professional, polite, and knowledgeable about their craft. We appreciate the efforts of both the daytime and nighttime teams. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Google· 3 months agoA friend recommended this hotel as she knew I’d be travelling with a wheelchair, I have limited mobility and my daughter and I don’t know our way around London at all. From the day I booked and had questions about an accessible room, having a wheelchair etc the staff could not have been more helpful. When we checked in we were told our room had been upgraded to give us a bit more room because of my wheelchair. The reception staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The whole place was spotlessly clean and the snacks, water, tea etc in the room were a great addition and really welcomed. Even on the day we left the hotel staff helped us to get a wheelchair friendly taxi from right next to the hotel and helped the driver load my wheelchair and our luggage. I can’t recommend this place enough and I’ll definitely book here again.

Google· 3 months agoAn absolutely incredible stay! Page8 exceeded every expectation. The location is unbeatable — tucked right between Trafalgar Square and Covent Garden, so the National Gallery, the West End, and Charing Cross station were all just a short stroll away. It's the perfect base for exploring London on foot. The room was beautifully designed — clean, modern, and full of natural light, with thoughtful touches like the Marshall speaker and lovely toiletries. Despite being in the heart of the city, it was blissfully quiet, so we slept wonderfully every night. The Page Common lounge downstairs quickly became a favourite spot for coffee, and the rooftop views over the city were simply stunning. What really set it apart, though, was the staff — warm, attentive, and genuinely happy to help with recommendations and anything we needed. They made us feel completely at home. If you're looking for a stylish, welcoming boutique hotel in the best possible location, look no further. We can't wait to come back!

Google· 3 weeks agoPage8 is excellent value for its location. Right by Trafalgar Square, with landmarks, Soho’s restaurants and theatres, and transit all within easy walking distance. The hotel and our room were fresh and modern, the room was nice and quiet, and the area felt safe and pleasant even at later hours. The staff were accommodating and helpful, and everything was top notch. We’d happily stay again and can definitely recommend it to anyone looking for nice accommodation in central London.

Google· 3 months agoOur favourite hotel in London and a great homebase for a weekend trip to the city. It's just the best combination of location and comfort. Situated super conveniently right at Trafalgar Square you have plenty sights, shopping areas and most importantly, the theatre district within just a short walking distance. The rooms aren't the biggest but they're sufficiently equipped with good air-conditioning and genuinely impressive (!) soundproofing. The views can be a bit depressing though depending on what room you're getting. Attached to / included in the hotel is a coffee bar with friendly and helpful staff. They also serve a few breakfast treats which we found to be quite enjoyable and a great way to start the day. We hope to be back soon!

Google· 2 months agoExtremely disappointing experience, especially considering the price and the fact that this was supposed to be a very special stay for us. My fiancé booked this hotel as our first stop after Scotland, where he was planning to propose. He mentioned when booking that we would hopefully be arriving newly engaged, hoping to make this part of our trip a little special too. He mentioned it again at reception when we arrived. We got a meek “Congratulations” and that was essentially it. Nobody owes us anything for getting engaged, of course, but at around €400 per night, I expected some warmth and genuine hospitality, particularly when this had been communicated in advance. Instead, the interaction felt completely indifferent. The arrival itself was shocking for a hotel in this price category. We could not use the ramp with our suitcases because several homless people were sitting there drinking, shouting, and arguing. One of the stairway entrances was obstructed by a tent, with loud music playing from it. We had to carry our luggage up the other stairs ourselves, with nobody at the entrance to assist. Once inside, instead of a proper hotel lobby, you essentially enter a busy coffee shop. We stood there with our luggage waiting to check in while café staff moved around us serving customers. The entire arrival felt chaotic and completely unlike the experience I would expect from a four star hotel at this price. The room itself was fine and the sound insulation was good. However, the huge TV on the wall was basically useless. We could not cast, connect our devices, stream anything, play music, or really use it for anything beyond the hotel’s own information. We even considered buying a cable to connect our laptop. At €400 per night, this felt ridiculous. What also made me very uncomfortable were the repeated warnings about not leaving valuables unattended and the hotel not being responsible for them. I had literally just gotten engaged and was travelling with a new diamond ring. I did not always want to wear it while walking around London, but after seeing these warnings repeatedly, I also did not feel comfortable simply leaving it in our room. I ended up hiding my engagement ring inside multiple layers of my belongings every time we went out. I understand advising guests to take precautions, but the messaging did not exactly inspire confidence or make me feel that my valuables were secure in a room I was paying this much for. Most disappointing of all was the service. Hospitality is a skill, especially at this price point, and unfortunately we did not experience it here. Not one interaction made us feel particularly welcomed, looked after, or valued as guests. We had chosen to spend significantly more because it was our first time in London, we had just gotten engaged, and we wanted to treat ourselves. Instead, this became one of the most disappointing parts of an otherwise incredibly special trip. The contrast was even greater because we had just stayed at The Resident in Edinburgh for roughly half the price, and it was exceptional. Wonderful hotel, wonderful staff, and genuine hospitality. I genuinely wish we had booked The Resident in London instead. For around €400 per night, I expected so much more. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it.

Google· 4 months agoModern, clean and quiet hotel set back a street or so from the Strand. The location is great because it’s not on the main busy road but is still central to everything. The rooms were well sized for London, clean and well maintained. The coffee from the cafe in the reception area is also really good. I would definitely stay here again.
