Just spent an evening at Shangri-La the Shard in a Premiere City View room. It has been many years since my wife and I stayed here, habitually using a different 5* Hotel although after this visit will be changing our habits. The service was exceptional, as was the attention to detail. Arriving early and the room not quite ready, every effort was made to help us relax, immediate access to the pool and spa facilities was organised and our bags looked after while we enjoyed the pool and sauna. When the room was ready our key was sent up to us so we could make our way leisurely to the room and didn't have to change out of our pool robes. Service in 'Gong' bars was really good with very friendly staff and stunning views from the table we reserved earlier and was ready for us on arrival having returned from a show. Breakfast in the room was punctual, beautifully presented and hot. At checkout we encountered a small billing error however this was dealt with immediately and without any fuss. I don't ordinarily comment on hotels however after many years using another 'top class' London hotel, this experience was truly exceptional. Thanks to the Shard team, this was a great evening.

Booked a night for my wife's birthday and our anniversary, truly outstanding from the second we set foot in the lobby, right up until we checked out! Upon arrival we found out that we had our room upgraded, a very welcome surprise, and what a room!!!!! The whole hotel is oozing with luxury, room was gorgeous, breathtaking views across the city, staff were amazing, we watched the sun rise from the infinity pool on the 52nd floor, had a sauna, awesome breakfast!! Can't praise the whole experience enough. Faultless!!!!! Huge thanks to all at Shangri la for a fantastic visit, will definitely come again

Absolutely breathtaking from the moment we stepped out of the elevator! My husband and I stayed here for our 10th wedding anniversary, and the Shangri-La truly exceeded every expectation. Our room had sweeping, floor-to-ceiling views of the Thames and Tower Bridge—waking up to the London skyline from the comfort of that incredibly plush bed felt like an absolute dream. We enjoyed a phenomenal dinner at TĪNG, where the staff even brought out a complimentary dessert with a sweet message for us. The absolute highlight, however, was swimming in the infinity pool on the 52nd floor right at sunset. It is undeniably a splurge, but for a special occasion, there is simply no better, more romantic place to stay in London. A truly magical, once-in-a-lifetime experience!

We had such a wonderful stay at the Shangri-La The Shard. The hotel is beautiful, the views over London are incredible, and breakfast was absolutely lovely. What made our stay especially memorable was the kindness and attention from the staff. We mentioned that we would love a particular Romanian cheese for breakfast, and they actually went out of their way to source it for us. It was such a thoughtful gesture and really made us feel special. It’s those little personal touches that make a stay unforgettable. We genuinely loved our time here and that is why we keep coming back. ❤️

We recently enjoyed a stay here in a beautiful iconic city view room with fantastic views of London.|The staff here cannot do enough for you, everyone is so helpful and friendly. From reception, Ting restaurant (where we enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea) and all other staff we spoke to. Any questions we had were dealt with quickly.|The hotel itself is very clean and smells lovely. The bedrooms are fantastic and the views are spectacular.|We cannot wait to return and enjoy another wonderful stay.

We recently stayed at Shangri-La for 8 days, and this was our second visit. I am truly grateful for the exceptional service and hospitality we experienced this time. The team went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, and every request we had was handled seamlessly. A special thank you to Alex and Manoj from TĪNG Restaurant, where we enjoyed breakfast every day. I had simply mentioned once that I am vegetarian and that I don’t eat many of the buffet options apart from bread and fruits. They immediately took note and made sure I had options available every morning. They also followed up with me regularly to ensure I was happy with the food. Their thoughtfulness and attention to detail truly made a difference. I would highly recommend Shangri-La to anyone visiting London. The breathtaking views from the pool, the luxurious rooms, and the outstanding room service make it an experience you don’t want to miss. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. We look forward to visiting again!

We splurged for one night at the Shangri-La The Shard during our vacation in London. We were greeted warmly by Jessica at the reception who walked us through our luxurious stay. We booked a Premier View room which was a corner unit on the 37th floor with a view towards and over the Shard Quarter from the living room and a view of the railway tracks and Tower Bridge from our bathroom. The view is definitely the wow factor with floor to ceiling windows. We were able to enjoy hours of just looking at the view from our sofa while sipping wine and cheese. The bed was heavenly and the bath with a view just has to be experienced. We used the 52nd floor pool and sauna along with GǑNG bar both of which need to be reserved. We had breakfast included as Expedia Gold members and chose room service, which came in a lavish presentation. Overall, we found the experience to be truly unique and definitely worth the splurge.

This was a bucket list trip with a friend who has terminal cancer and had always dreamed of staying in London's tallest building. The views did not fail to impress and the whole team were utterly lovely and welcoming. The accessible room was great apart from minor details, we had to ask for a shower seat which was not in keeping with the room. The soaps, conditioner and shampoo were also difficult to access for someone in a seat. Minor details really and it did not distract much from the luxury experience. A proper treat.
