Stayed 2 nights with my wife to visit the lovely city of Maastricht. Hotel is nice, clean, and staff is very friendly. We upgraded to a deluxe room on the top floor before we arrived, and it was comfortable. It's not overly luxurious and perhaps a tad oldfashioned, but it's just fine and in a great location. Atmosphere is pleasant. And it wasnt very expensive, ~200 per night including private parking amd breakfast.|The pool is small and sad, I would not recommend. But the private parking is convenient, and there are several EV chargers which is great!|We didnt try the hotel bar or restaurant because in Maastricht you ought to explore what the city has to offer: many great options.|We definitely would stay here again.

We ended up here for 2 nights when our planned accommodation double booked us. The hotel building is quite grand but a little dated. The extreme 39 deg heat was overwhelming the air con but we slept well thanks to cooling off in the pool before retiring. The location across the road from the station is central to the city and perfect for sight seeing. We didn't use the resteraunt at all so can't comment but we did use the car park which was extremely expensive. Staff were fine but too busy to be overly friendly.

We would definitely not recommend this hotel. We stayed only 1 night and that was more than enough. Some examples of our experience:|- bed linen was not clean |- bathroom dirty |- molds on the tile work|- furniture and carpet old and not well maintained |- ceiling too low. Especially around the bed area you risk hurting your head when you wake up|- breakfast was average at best|- the underground parking is extremely difficult to access, in some areas even dangerous because of 2-way traffic where there is only space for 1 car One positive point was that the staff at the reception desk was friendly, but that was by far not enough to compensate for the terrible room quality. Maastricht is a magnificent city and we will certainly return, but for sure book another hotel

The location is excellent; just outside the station and a nice walk to the centre, across the Wijk district. The hotel has this old charm, from when they didn’t squeeze people in tiny rooms like sardines. The room was spacious and comfortable. The dining area is large and the bar is cosy. We got a welcome drink each in our arrangement, and then again a drink each for deciding to keep it green and skip room cleaning. This was really nice, as you can get a generous glass of good wine or beer at the hotel bar for free. Negatives: The bathrooms could definitely use a remodeling. On a busy morning, the kitchen has difficulty keeping up with the breakfast buffet resupply. Overall, a very good stay.

Great large room Directly opposite the Maastricht station and bus station Walking distance to spa grocery store and 15mins walk to city centre Stairs to reception, no lift to reception - not good for disabled people - apparently the other entrance was locked but it has a platform for wheelchair accessibility to the reception/dining room and the lift to other levels. That would have been helpful instead of dragging my suitcase and backpack up about 10 steps to reception. Not good for disabled people with heart condition and brain injury and balance issues. There was no buzzer to call for assistance and couldn't leave suitcase on the street. They need to provide instructions to guests with disabilities to proceed to the other locked door and have a buzzer on that door. Other than that everything was great

Location 9. Atmosphere nice. Room is fine, I love the fact that they put 3 nice big bottles of 400 ml each of soap, shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom! And they still have the room telephone so that we can call the receptionist, for example! Lovely!

It’s an old fashioned hotel but still very nice, clean and comfortable with convenient location and friendly staff. The pool area needs a face lift though. Maastricht is a very likeable city.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights in December. The hotel feels quite grand but is outdated and needs modernisation, in all of the lobby, breakfast area and rooms. But the location is great, right across from the train station and a short walk from sights in the centre. Where this hotel shines is in the restaurant for dinner. I had a 3- and 4-course meals with my hotel package and the food was well prepared and beautifully presented. Perhaps the best aspect was the service, which was prompt, smooth and very professional. I had three people serving my table and nothing fell through the cracks. Each person was warm and welcoming, even switching between languages with ease. The front desk staff were also helpful and professional. With some updating, this hotel could be a real gem.
