Recently had our wedding here and couldn’t be happier! A huge thank you to Maria and the entire team for making our special day so memorable💕 Even though it was raining heavily, the team went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. We truly appreciate all their help and care throughout the day. Would definitely recommend this venue for a stress-free wedding experience with a beautiful setting and a team that truly cares!

A very dull cavernous room-dark and dated fixtures-tatty chairs-stained sofa-leaky shower-dreadful pillows! Having said that, the bedding was crisp and clean. Would I stay here again…NO! Time for the owners to refit/renovate.

Elizabethan Lodge is a nice and quiet place located about a 20-minute drive from the town center. The surroundings are peaceful, making it a great spot to unwind. The staff were friendly and attentive, providing good service throughout my stay. It’s a solid option if you’re okay with a short commute to the city.

If you are looking for a tranquil, comfortable, and amazingly convenient place to stay in Melbourne’s East, this lovely heritage-style property is a solid 5-star choice. 1. Beautiful Grounds & Clean Rooms The environment here is so peaceful and charming. The manicured gardens are stunning, green, and lush, providing a picturesque backdrop for a relaxing stroll. The room was spotlessly clean, quiet, and well-appointed. The daily room service was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and always ensuring we had everything we needed for a refreshing stay. Parking on-site was super easy and hassle-free. 2. Phenomenal Location & Easy Transport What impressed us most was its unbeatable location! Commuting from here couldn't be simpler: 1 minute directly onto the highway for fast travel around the city. 3 minutes walk to the nearest bus stop. Just a 10-minute drive to both Box Hill Central and Doncaster Westfield for endless dining, shopping, and entertainment. Summary: Elizabethan Lodge perfectly combines classic garden elegance with modern convenience. Quiet, clean, easy parking, and top-tier hospitality. I am not staying till 17/12/26 for a few weeks but wanted to post this on my interaction/booking/numerous queries with Maria as it has been absolutely amazing. She is sooo amazing and prompt in all her response. Cannot wait to stay over the Christmas/New Year period and will post up-dates Am sure it will be top-notch Till then PS no stool for shower as husband has mobility issue Hahaaaa BUT OK it is BYO

If you are looking for an all-in-one Wedding venue with amazing inclusions at an affordable price, this is for you. At the best price per head I found in any location with similar offerings, our wedding package included: On-site accommodation for our guests, the use of a bridal suite and a Groom Room to get ready on-site, overnight accommodation for the bride and groom, access to the venue from 8am, a beautiful sandstone chapel with stained glass windows for our ceremony, gardens and/or a white room studio for photos, a cash bar to entertain guests between ceremony and reception, 30 mins of included pre-drinks and canapes, a 5 hour reception in a beautiful ballroom including drinks and a 3 course meal, cake cutting services, a day-of coordinator, AND floral centrepieces for the reception. If you have started gathering quotes for flowers yet you will understand what an incredible inclusion that last one is - it saved us literally thousands of dollars.

Close to public transport, rooms were either missing security or privacy (key latch or curtins alongside the blinds) or essentials unless you asked for them (like a toaster, no laundry hamper). The fact that we had to take the toaster between rooms wasn't explained to us until half way through our trip, as we expected it to be an essential in the room. Where the laundry was also had to be explained to us by a guest when we first got there, because he wasn't told about it either. We had to wait about half an hour to check in (which was apologised for, so ok), as there is only one staff member aside from cleaners and she left everyday at around four. The photos are only of the renovated rooms and bridal suites, understandably, but it was a misleading first experience. The first room we were put in was run down and nothing like advertised. Stains on the roof, the jacuzzi tub looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned or even used in a long while, the tub's pump had leaked into the cupboard under the sink, leaving mold and big, brown stains. Cracks in the walls, a disappointing view of a brick wall outside, the skirting boards were falling apart, there were webs on the light fixtures and it was under the stairs towards the very back of the lodge... Far from comfortable. The second room we were in had problems too, though far less noticeable and over all it was a bit more comfortable. The shower and aircon were constantly switching between hot and cold at random times. Mattress was very firm, hurt my neck and shoulder for the four day stay. The only upsides were the singular, apologetic staff member who changed our room to something a bit better (Maria is nice), and the garden was a nice view.

We came across this beautiful place while doing a web search. It’s a lovely property! The ladies at the customer service, Sheryl and Maria, were just wonderful and SO accommodating. They went over and beyond to help our party out and last minute room changes. They accommodated our 7 large bags after wedding party while we went to Sydney, even before the reservation dates! The yard is SO beautifully decorated and would have some amazing wedding or small party pictures. The rooms were very nice and very esthetic! We would love to stay here again!!
