Tripadvisor· 5 months agoGreat experience. I am a BWR Diamond Select member and saw this hotel in the app, but stayed in CDMX with family (no hotel needed). Yet I decided to walk in anonymously and ask if I could grab a drink at the roof. The service and hospitality from the receptionist and barmen was super, and very authentic. I felt treated with great service. A cosy, nice and warm hotel to stay.

Google· 3 months agoWhilst the location is very central and relatively convenient, the hotel rooms feel very dated and are in need of rejuvenation. The room was large and spacious, but not well stocked with provisions and the bathroom in particular was less than desirable... The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful - no fault there. I thank them greatly for their hospitality.

Google· Edited 2 months agoAVOID! AVOID! UGLY, OLD, MOLDY NOISY The halls and lobby look nice, but the rooms are in terrible shape, they are old, moldy, noisy. Regarding the location you would think it is great as the "Majestic" hotel is at the heart of the city, but the political protests outside, the meaningless fairs they set in the main plaza, and the blocked walkways by the police, make a big congestion of people and cars. Uber is impossible to get close. The area is crowded, noisy, chaotic. I regret staying in this area. The rooms are old, unkempt, smelly. No AC and the shower had no cold water but only very hot. The shower has mold everywhere, the towels, supposedly white are gray and rough. Our room had no windows, just a wall of blurring glass blocks. There was an office on the other side of the wall, we could see the employees moving and hear them chatting, playing music. They left the light on until 2:00 am, and we had no curtains to block the light. I complained 3 times to three different people. Only once they turned the light off, but later at 3:00 am it was on again! If you have bad neighbors you can hear them chatting at night, using the hairdryer. There is no windows, the only vent is clogged with tissue paper. The restaurant has a nice view, with good service but it is expensive. The margaritas are small and feel like Mocktails, with very little alcohol. Housekeeping comes at 8:00 am waking everyone on the floor, knocking on doors, to make you come to the door and say "I will be back later when you are not in the room ". To sum up, AVOID! Stay somewhere else!!

Trip.com· 4 months agoThe location of the hotel is perfect with the Zocalo and the Cathedral within a walking distance.The hotel itself is quite old, especially the elevator, but relatively comfortable.

Google· a month agoAvoid this hotel , great location for pictures but too noisy, old beds and floors , bathrooms need a upgrade and full of cockroaches 🪳. Every night I spend in this hotel has a nightmare talking about cockroaches in the bathroom. Old installations with the minimum upgrade. Front desk a little rough, with reserve the room with a balcony that we know is in 6 floor when we came to do the check in, the receptionist said, that we don’t have balcony just a window we tell the guy that we reserved with balcony in the website but he just smiles and said well”we just put that so you can reserve. Housekeeping is great this grandma how was doing the housekeeping was very respectful and all the ways and room was clean even when I let all those cockroaches 🪳 in the bathroom floor. I will post a video . Well I have different videos since we spent couple days in this hotel. Even when we talk about this infested bathroom they just offer to clean up and that’s all they do. Just avoid this place for your own safety and mental peace.

Google· 3 weeks agoHotel is Nice looking but rooms are very out dated. There were cockroaches in room. Also the roof top restaurant was terrible. Food was cold and they still charged full price. We were also not that Happy with the staff in restaurant, they are more worried about another table then us. They were about 7 waiters with manager.

Google· 3 months agoOur stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing from beginning to end. Unfortunately, nearly every aspect of the experience fell well below expectations. The problems started at check-in. Despite having booked online at a confirmed price, we were informed upon arrival that the rate had changed and were expected to pay more. There was no prior notification or reasonable explanation for the price increase. Changing the agreed-upon reservation price at check-in is unacceptable and immediately created a negative first impression. The reception staff did little to improve the situation. Instead of being welcoming or helpful, several employees came across as dismissive and impatient whenever we asked questions. Rather than trying to resolve concerns, they often made us feel like we were inconveniencing them. After finally checking in, we discovered that the room key cards repeatedly failed to work. We had to return to reception multiple times just to regain access to our room, wasting valuable time and adding unnecessary frustration. Even after reporting the issue, there was no permanent solution or sincere apology. The condition of the hotel itself was also disappointing. The building appears poorly maintained, and the accommodations did not match the standard or quality presented in the online listing. For the price charged, we expected a much better-maintained property. One of the most frustrating experiences occurred at the hotel restaurant. Our group wanted to have a meal together, but we were stopped at the entrance and told we could not enter until staff confirmed whether there was availability. Instead of trying to accommodate us, we were immediately encouraged to purchase an overpriced buffet as the only option for entry. As paying hotel guests, we expected a more welcoming and customer-oriented approach rather than feeling pressured into spending more money. What made the entire experience worse was the overall attitude of the staff. Hospitality is about making guests feel welcome and helping resolve problems. Instead, many interactions felt cold, dismissive, and unprofessional. Every question or concern seemed to be treated as an inconvenience rather than an opportunity to provide good service. Overall, this hotel failed in several key areas: honoring confirmed reservation prices, providing functional room access, maintaining the property, delivering quality customer service, and offering a welcoming dining experience. We left disappointed and would not choose to stay here again. I hope management takes these concerns seriously because no guest should have to experience this level of poor service after paying for their stay.

Google· 2 months agoBe careful with the website (it says your connection is not private) or with the email of this Hotel. I contacted them looking for information on an event and my family got contacted through WhatsApp after they sent me the prices of it by email, along to 20 different email addresses (I honestly don't know how they got my family's member phone number?). But they share your information with who knows who?. A "Majestic group" when I didn't ask them to do it. How do getting info got into getting contacted by strangers?
