Google· 2 weeks agoWould Not recommend. Had to cancel and rebook because even though they say your Reservation is guranteed ITS NOT! But Wait, there ist more! They can and will If they messed Up their room availablity. On top they have scamers employed that will ASK you for your CREDIT CARD information via a WORD DOCUMENT. And that is done by the official front desk e-mail. So im not saying the Hotel ist a scam or scaming you but the people working there. How can you stay at a place like this?

Tripadvisor· 11 months agoJust checked out of this hotel after another city express canceled our reservation - this was the only reasonably priced hotel remaining in the city during Dia de Muertos.|Four night stay: our first night we were assigned a larger room, but the air conditioner was not functioning and it was 85 degrees with the ac unit just recycling stale air. The hallway outside our room was at least 20 degrees cooler. When we approached the front desk they stated that they knew about the issue and there was nothing they could do and no rooms to move us to. The front desk agent did not care at all that the room was impossible to sleep in. We ended up having to sleep with our door open just to get some cool air in, having the hallway light in our eyes all night. First time in my life I have slept with the door open in a hotel room and I hope it will be the last.|The next morning we went to the front desk and we were moved immediately to a new room with working air conditioner but no apology or any bit of hospitality at the front desk. The second room we were moved to was much smaller, very dirty, and extremely noisy with the road right outside our window. Even sleeping with headphones and white noise did not block out the sound. I have not slept in 4 nights and am extremely happy to be checking out.|Gave 2 stars instead of 1 due to the location and decent breakfast. If you are looking for a place to crash for the night where you may or may not get any sleep, choose this hotel. Adding that I am Titanium status for any Marriott regulars, I didn’t mention my status at the desk because they would not have cared either way.

Google· 9 months agoTerrible. The manager of the hotel is horrendous. Zero client focus and unbelievably rude. As a 10+ year Bonvoy member, this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Marriott property. Don’t stay here!

Google· 11 months agoI had a very disappointing experience with this hotel. My 5-night reservation, booked 3 months in advance, was cancelled because I arrived at 6:40 PM on my check-in day-even though check-in starts at 3 PM and there was no mention in any email or policy that reservations would be cancelled after 6 PM. The staff explained it was due to the busy Day of the Dead weekend and that they had given my room to walk-ins. My flight from Cancún to Mexico City was delayed by 4 hours, which is why I arrived later than planned, but even after explaining this, they refused to reinstate my booking. They only offered me a small twin-bed room for one night, which was not very clean (there were stains on the sheets and pillows), and I had to find other accommodations for the rest of my stay. Even after speaking with the manager the next day, I never received a clear explanation as to why the reservation was cancelled despite having a valid credit card on file. This was an extremely frustrating and stressful experience, and I hope the hotel improves its communication and booking policies moving forward.

Google· a year agoEverything about my stay was wonderful, surpassing all my expectations. Most important: the service level is excellent – better than most mid-tier service hotels by far. The staff are gracious, hospitable, and always find solutions when needed. 10/10 on service! Everyone I had contact with was wonderful, and I am sorry that I did not note everyone’s name, but a special recognition to Janet E. and reception and Scarlet in the breakfast restaurant. NOTE: I do not speak Spanish, and that was never a problem. Several staff spoke English, but those who didn’t were more than happy to use Google Translate with me. No barriers whatsoever, and always with a smile. For a hotel concept which is themed for scaled-down amenities and services, one would never know it: daily room cleaning (full, not abbreviated, and automatic, not “upon request” as so many American chains have started to do), a full hot breakfast included which changed daily, a 24-hour front desk staff, 24-hour security who (given that the neighborhood is clean & safe) spend more time as ambassadors and doormen. There are laundry facilities on premise which I partook several times – clean and modern. The beds (mine was a queen) are new and comfortable. Air conditioning was silent and worked like a charm. Basic toiletries are all included in the bath, with more obscure items (along with snacks) available for purchase downstairs.

Google· 8 months agoBed bugs in the room, which we discovered when seeing all the bites upon departure. Staff was unfamiliar with bed bugs, and said they would contact me. Hotel never contacted me, and falsely told Marriott that I received compensation--in the form of a new room. I had to call Marriott loyalty four times about the issue before receiving compensation

Google· a year agoI had a great experience here, the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and the staff was nice too. The breakfast was good and overall was a good experience .Also the hotel was pretty close to the places we wanted to go.

Google· 2 years agoThis is a hotel, in that it has rooms with beds and showers, but that’s pretty much it. Despite it being part off the Marriott brand, the rooms are claustrophobic and poorly ventilated. They are clean and the bed is surprisingly good, yet simple. Service is friendly and attentive but the price tag is definitely way higher than what you’re getting. Also, walls are paper-thin so it gets noisy at night. Wifi is unreliable.
