The hotel has a timeless charm and classic character, and it has been exceptionally well maintained. We really enjoyed its unique atmosphere and the outstanding service from the staff. The breakfast buffet offered a great variety of options, and our room was spacious with several modern updates that made for a very comfortable stay. For the price, we felt it was an excellent value. The location was safe and within walking distance of several neighborhoods we wanted to explore, making it a great base for our trip. We would definitely stay here again. Our only suggestion would be to update and expand the gym, as it felt a bit outdated compared to the rest of the hotel.

The reception did not explain the internet access code, and I tried multiple times to call the Front Desk with no answer. It took me nearly an hour to figure out how to get online.On the first night, my bathroom was missing shampoo and body soap. I only received them on the second night after speaking with the Front Desk.The shower system is also quite different from most international hotels, yet no instructions or explanations were provided. Overall, the experience did not feel user‑friendly for the price. I hope the hotel improves these areas; otherwise, I would hesitate to return.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Marquis Reforma, and it was an absolutely great experience. The hotel itself is beautiful, boasting elegant interiors and a stunning design that immediately makes you feel welcome and relaxed.The location is unbeatable. Situated right on the iconic Paseo de la Reforma, it is perfectly placed for exploring the city. You are just a short walk or ride away from major attractions, beautiful parks, and great shopping areas.However, what truly sets this hotel apart is the impeccable service. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The attention to detail and the genuine warmth of the entire team made our stay incredibly special. They are highly attentive and always ready to help with a smile.Additionally, the culinary experience was exceptional. The food was simply delicious, offering a wonderful variety of high-quality dishes that exceeded our expectations.I highly recommend the Marquis Reforma to anyone visiting Mexico City. It seamlessly combines a beautiful atmosphere, a prime location, outstanding food, and world-class hospitality. I can't wait to return!

The service was truly excellent and we owe our thanks to our server Elias! He met our every need and was very attentive, even as the restaurant got busier. Food was great and especially enjoyed the desserts. :) We did a late lunch and the ambiance was lovely because we could talk easily between each other. Will / would go again when visiting.

My favorite hotel in the Americas. My room was superb. The weightroom and pool are first-rate. Food exquisite. I am greeted always as family. I was celebrating my birthday, and a delicious treat was delivered to my door one evening (pictured below). The concierge desk (Javier, Edith and more!) masterfully arranged restaurants and transportation. When I was jogging outside, I tripped, scraping my arm and knee. When I returned to the hotel, a most able team of Luis and Iván came to my room, cleaned the wounds and expertly bandaged me up! I can’t say enough about the wonderful team at the Marquis Reforma: Susana at reception always greets me warmly. Gustavo in the restaurant remembers what I like to order for breakfast. Iván cleaned my room each day with care. Can’t wait to go back!!!

We had a wonderful experience at Hotel Marquis. The location is exceptional, right by Reforma, and having bikes available for us to ride on Sunday made our stay even more memorable. The hotel itself is gorgeous, but the best part was the service. Every single employee was amazing — caring, helpful, and always willing to go above and beyond. They helped us get a table to watch the Mexico game, and Fernando was the one who made it happen for us. We are very grateful. Highly recommend this beautiful hotel for its location, service, and overall experience!

An Exceptional Experience at the Marquis Mexico City Having hosted an event at another hotel nearby in 2025. I came to the Marquis with high expectations—but the experience went far beyond anything I could have anticipated. From the moment we began planning, the Marquis team demonstrated an extraordinary level of service, professionalism, and attention to detail. Every aspect of our event was handled with care, flexibility, and genuine commitment to making it a success. A very special thank you to Lucy, our Event Manager, and her entire team. They truly went above and beyond at every turn. Their responsiveness, attention to detail, and willingness to anticipate our needs made an enormous difference. They didn’t simply execute an event—they made us feel genuinely cared for and supported throughout the entire experience. Most importantly, our attendees, sponsors, and staff were absolutely overwhelmed by the level of service. The positive feedback we received was remarkable, and so much of that success can be attributed to the Marquis team. As someone who works professionally in events and has the opportunity to experience many hotels and venues, I can confidently say that the Marquis sets an exceptionally high standard. The combination of world-class hospitality, personalized service, and an incredible team made this experience truly memorable. Lucy and the entire Marquis team—thank you for making our event extraordinary. You exceeded our expectations in every possible way, and I would enthusiastically recommend the Marquis to anyone planning an event in Mexico City. We look forward to returning!

Don't believe the pictures on booking or their website. Most rooms are in fact carpeted with the type of stained carpet that hasn't been cleaned in a while. What a Double Supreme room gets you is an old room at the end of the hallway next to the emergency exit that is dark, moldy, and smelly, with scratched furniture, walls in need of a paint job, and overall poorly maintained and dirty. Then, when you ask for a room change, they say the hotel is fully booked and that only upgrades are available. An upgrade requires an extra payment of $50 a night. We paid, and the new room was exactly as old, smelly, and tired, but at least it had no carpet. Our stay included breakfast. It was one of the strangest buffets I've ever seen. Meat stew, pasta with vegetables, waffle club sandwiches, smoked salmon quiche with olives, and some sort of artisanal flavored cheese that I sincerely hope was cheese. Asking for something simple like a plain toast with turkey and cheese requires a special request to the chef, seems to cause stress and annoyance to the staff, and still takes about 30 minutes of wait time for one slice of turkey, one slice of cheese, and one piece of bread. Customer service was an interesting concept. There were always plenty of employees around, but nobody appeared to have any actual authority to solve anything. They were, however, extremely efficient at explaining why nothing could be done. The cherry on top was finding out at checkout that occupancy was only 50%, so they didn't really need to charge us for an "upgraded" room without carpet. They also charged us a random extra deposit of $100 on the second day that was never explained and that we had to dispute. Not a 5-star hotel (or a 5-star experience) by any stretch of the imagination.
