Full-day tours go to Tolantongo for its hot springs and caves, and to Teotihuacan, often combined with a hot air balloon flight and breakfast in caves. Another option is Xochimilco, Coyoacan, and Frida Kahlo's house, covering canals, a colonial neighborhood, and the artist's museum. A tour also includes the Basilica of Guadalupe and Tlatelolco alongside Teotihuacan.

Plan 4 days for the city itself. Use a fourth day for the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Museo Soumaya. Add an extra day if you take a day trip to Teotihuacan.
