Tripadvisor· a month agoWe stayed in a Suite Room. The view from the room was really good, that was the highlight of our stay.|However, the lighting in the room was very dim, which made it uncomfortable. The hotel property also feels quite old and needs renovation.|Breakfast was not up to the expectation, most of the items were cold.|Overall, it was an okay stay, not very good.

Google· 4 months agoHad stayed here for just a day. But when you step into this hotel you dont feel that you are abroad. Its really so well done. And the service is excellent. Specially one of the lady managers who was there at breakfast. Very attentive to people and their needs. From top to bottom I have no flaws. Don't like the electronic buttons for the lights but im old school so its totally cool.

Trip.com· 6 months ago,The location is very good. The hotel is quite huge and might have been great in the past but the cleanliness or room quality is very old and average. It's definitely not bad but surely not like a 5 star, the way it looks in pictures.

Google· a month agoWe had a wonderful experience at Hotel Sahara Star, Mumbai, where we enjoyed warm hospitality, excellent service, and a comfortable stay with our family. The Chef personally met us and took the time to understand our preferences, ensuring that our meals were prepared according to our taste and satisfaction. We truly appreciated the personal attention and care. The Front Office team welcomed us warmly and provided excellent assistance throughout our stay. The supporting staff were also very helpful during the check-in and check-out process, making everything smooth and hassle-free. Overall, it was a memorable family experience, and we sincerely appreciate the entire team for their warm hospitality, personal attention, and excellent service. Thank you all for making our family stay, a truly pleasant and memorable experience. We look forward to visiting again!

Google· 4 months agoHad a wonderful staycation at Sahara Star with our 3-month-old baby. The staff was extremely friendly, courteous, and always ready to help, which made our stay very comfortable. Their hospitality was truly impressive. The property is huge, beautiful, and very well maintained. We especially enjoyed the overall ambiance and cleanliness. The only drawbacks were that there was no refrigerator in the room, and the shower water pressure was quite low. Apart from these minor issues, everything else was excellent. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and I would definitely recommend Sahara Star for a relaxing family staycation.

Google· 4 months agoHotel Sahara Star is one of Mumbai’s most iconic airport hotels, located directly opposite Terminal 1 and just minutes from the airport. The biggest highlight is its massive tropical lagoon-style atrium under a huge dome, which gives the property a unique resort-like feel despite being in the middle of the city. The hotel feels grand and luxurious, especially in the common areas and dining spaces. Rooms are comfortable, though some parts of the property show their age slightly compared to newer luxury hotels. Still, the location, scale, and overall atmosphere make it a memorable stay near the airport. You can also spot planes right from your bed from specific rooms from floors.

Google· 4 months agoWe stayed at Hotel Sahara Star over the weekend with two room bookings and unfortunately the experience was far below what I'd expect from a 5-star hotel. We arrived at 1:50 PM for a 2:00 PM check-in. Only one room was available while we were told the second room would be ready shortly. During the one hour we spent in the first room, we spotted two cockroaches in the washroom. The staff explained that pest control had been carried out in a neighbouring room and that the insects may have come from there. By 3:30 PM, our second room was still not ready. Despite multiple calls to the operator, no one called us back with an update. When we went to reception ourselves, we were informed they couldn't locate our second room booking in the system. After considerable follow-up, we were finally assigned two rooms at around 4:00 PM. Unfortunately, the room issues continued. One room had water leaking from the ceiling, a screwdriver left hanging on the curtain, and a faulty access panel. In the second room, the AC temperature was stuck at 6°C and the control panel was barely functional due to worn-out buttons. Adding to this, both rooms looked dated and worn out, with visible signs of wear and tear that did not match the standards expected of a premium 5-star hotel. We were allocated rooms on the second floor overlooking the atrium and there appeared to be a gap between the full-length glass door and the balcony window. Because of this, we could clearly hear conversations from guests dining in the open restaurant area on the ground floor, which affected our comfort and privacy. The room also struggled to cool properly, making the stay even less comfortable. We were also unable to access the room Wi-Fi despite multiple attempts. After several calls to the operator, we were eventually given an alternative login credential. Even then, the Wi-Fi worked on only one device, which was frustrating and inconvenient for a family stay. While the hotel's iconic glass dome is visually impressive, it also made the lobby and open areas noticeably hot during the day. All these concerns were reported to the staff at checkout. Overall, the property appears to be in need of significant refurbishment, better maintenance and improved attention to guest experience. Sadly, this stay did not reflect the standards one would expect from a 5-star hotel.

The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The staff was warm, professional, and always ready to help. The food was delicious with a great variety of options, and the overall ambience made the stay even more memorable. It was a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a premium hospitality experience!
