I was stranded due to heavy rain and stayed here for a room-only stay. The reception is located on the second floor at the top of the escalator, where a friendly staff member checked me in. A great variety of amenities is available at the reception. The room was exceptionally bright, spotlessly clean, and truly wonderful. The bathroom featured a full bathtub, and the vanity was also very clean. The mattress had just the right amount of firmness for a comfortable sleep. It's hard to believe this is only a 3-star hotel with facilities of this quality. It's a place I would definitely love to stay at again and relax when I have the chance.

Excellent hotel. The bathroom and shower area were really clean and spacious for a Japan hotel. The room itself was also bigger than like a normal Tokyo hotel. Main reason for the five stars though is because we left something in a hotel in Kanazawa and the front desk was so helpful in getting it back for us. We were staying for another 5 days but they got it back in two, with a typhoon. We also stayed twice on the same trip, going to Kanazawa in the middle and they took care of our luggage for the time we were gone. Overall super excellent. Would stay here again. It's about a 10 minute walk from two different stations. Also located in a more quiet area.

We stayed as a family of four (2 adults and 2 kids) in a family room at JAL City Nagoya Nishiki, and it was a wonderful experience. The room was spacious, clean, and well-designed to comfortably accommodate all of us. The beds were cozy, and the thoughtful layout made it easy for the kids to settle in without feeling cramped. The location is excellent — right in Nishiki, with easy access to restaurants, shops, and public transport. It made exploring Nagoya very convenient, especially with children. Staff were friendly, professional, and attentive, always ready to help with directions or recommendations. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and efficient. Breakfast offered a good variety, with both Japanese and Western options, which worked perfectly for our family. Overall, JAL City Nagoya Nishiki is a great choice for families visiting Nagoya. Comfortable rooms, prime location, and warm hospitality made our stay memorable. Highly recommended!

Although we were unfortunately unable to stay due to an unexpected medical situation and a recent serious health diagnosis in our family, I wanted to take a moment to recognize the incredible kindness and understanding shown by the hotel staff. From the moment we explained our circumstances, their team treated us with compassion, professionalism, and genuine care. While their cancellation policy was clearly stated, they took the time to review our situation and graciously approved a full refund. Their empathy during such a stressful time meant more to our family than words can express. Exceptional customer service isn’t only about providing a great stay—it’s about how people treat you when life takes an unexpected turn. This hotel demonstrated integrity, kindness, and a true commitment to their guests. Amazing hotel to stay in, very clean and comfy. Staffs were super friendly and nice. Water pressure in the toilet was great and you could request to make up room every day. Only downside is the location is not the most convenient, either a 15min walk from Nagoya Main Station or 9 min walk from Fushimi Station. Taking the bus around would be more convenient (but buses are rather slow and arrive at inconsistent timings).

DO NOT book this hotel if you drive. I stayed here for 2 nights and although the hotel was very assuring when I asked them about carpark over email, the reality is that their carpark is very small and on both nights, there was no available lots. Eventually they recommended a carpark that is supposedly associated with the hotel, and the carpark is about 10 minutes walk away. What is surprising is that none of the staff were able to explain how the discount for the carpark works in English, despite the use of google translator. Eventually I paid more for the carpark that what I would have paid for without the discount. Staff at the counter will simply tell you that they cannot help you with anything. There are many hotel options around here, consider wisely.

Stayed with my family at Nagoya JAL City Hotel during my son’s 9th birthday trip to Nagoya. The price is mid-range – not cheap but not expensive – and the service is decent without any inconvenience. Rooms are clean and modern, staff are friendly. Instead of using a breakfast ticket, we explored nearby restaurants, but honestly, most weren’t very impressive. The location is about a 25-minute walk from Nagoya Station, so not too far but not very close either. Overall, a comfortable and satisfactory stay.
