I had a great experience here. My last night in India. I was hoping it would be a pleasant opportunity and I was not let down. While dining I had the pleasure of meeting Chui. A very personable and outgoing person. Just as I was ready to go home. As a sole foreign traveler, her conversations made me feel welcome and not isolated. I appreciated the personal touch that makes traveling places like this worthwhile.

I had a wonderful stay at The Lalit on 21st July 2026. The property is absolutely beautiful, the rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, and well-maintained. The food was excellent with a great variety, and every meal was delicious. The staff was polite, courteous, and always willing to help. The only area that needs improvement is the room service. It was quite slow, and I had to call twice for almost everything I requested. Faster service would make the overall experience even better. Overall, it was a pleasant and memorable stay. I would definitely recommend this property and look forward to visiting again.

The hotel is not 5 star. The rooms are tired and smell musty when you used the air conditioning. The pool is nice, but has very limited seating. The spa is ok with separate sauna and steam for men and women. The spa services are pricey, but no more than you would expect in a hotel. The main issue is the noise. If you are a light sleeper this is not the hotel for you. It’s right next to the train tracks and the trains hoot all day and night - but that is not the hotels fault. What is the hotels fault is that the restaurant at the top of the hotel plays banging house music until 11.30 at night…and as we are on the 26th floor (two floors away) our room is like a club - literally shaking with the bass…not ok for a hotel that calls itself five star. The ground floor bar also plays deafening music..go if you want a party, not if you want a nice cocktail or a glass of wine. On the plus side lots of the staff are lovely (name check for Ashook from guest services / housekeeping - lovely man). Overall it’s fine, but you could find better.

I had a lovely stay at The Lalit in Connaught Place. The location was excellent, and the staff made me feel welcome throughout my visit. A special thank you to Hnaia at reception for her warm, attentive service. She was helpful and made the whole experience even more pleasant. I would be happy to stay here again!

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Pradeep and Avdesh from The Lalit Hotel for their outstanding assistance in retrieving my bag, which I had accidentally left behind at my previous hotel. Both Pradeep and Avdesh went above and beyond to help me. They worked tirelessly, spent a great deal of time on the phone coordinating with the previous hotel, and kept making every effort to ensure that my bag was safely returned to me. What impressed me most was their constant reassurance, patience, and genuine concern throughout the entire process. They made me feel confident that my belongings were in good hands, even when I was worried about getting them back. Their dedication, professionalism, and willingness to go the extra mile truly reflect the high standard of hospitality and customer service at The Lalit Hotel. A heartfelt thank you to Pradeep and Avdesh for turning a stressful situation into a positive experience. Their efforts did not go unnoticed, and I am extremely grateful for everything they did. They are a real credit to The Lalit Hotel, and I hope their hard work and commitment receive the recognition they deserve. Stayed here recently. The biggest plus is the location – very close to Connaught Place and convenient for getting around Delhi. The room was clean, comfortable, and had good bedding and a nice shower, but honestly, for a 5-star hotel, there was nothing that really stood out. It felt more like a good business hotel than a luxury experience. What really disappointed me was the minibar. They stock regular cookies and chewing gum that cost ₹30-40 in any local store and charge nearly ₹300 for them. I understand hotel markups, but this felt excessive and a bit cheap for a property positioning itself as a luxury hotel. If they offered premium or imported snacks, it would make more sense. Breakfast was much better – lots of options, good variety, and the food was tasty. Definitely one of the better parts of the stay. The staff were helpful and the checkout process was smooth. The only awkward moment was being asked to leave a TripAdvisor review during checkout. It's better to simply request feedback and let guests post reviews when they genuinely want to. Overall, it's a clean and comfortable hotel with a great location, but considering the price and the 5-star tag, I didn't feel it offered anything special or memorable. Not a bad stay, just not quite worth the premium.

This is, without question, one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. I have stayed in many hotels across different countries, and I genuinely struggle to understand how a hotel in such a prime location can operate with such poor standards. The location is probably the only thing this hotel has going for it. Everything else—from the front desk to basic room security and management response—was deeply disappointing. I was actually assigned a room where the door lock itself was not working properly. This isn't a minor inconvenience; it is a basic guest safety and security issue. How is a room even released to a guest without confirming that the door can be properly secured? The room key also failed to work in certain elevators, making something as simple as getting to the room unnecessarily frustrating. Trying to get assistance was another ordeal. The front desk/reception frequently did not answer calls, and unbelievably, even the common telephone in the floor lobby wasn't working. When guests cannot even contact reception from inside the hotel, something is seriously wrong with the way the property is being managed. But the most disappointing part was the complete lack of urgency and accountability from management. Problems happen in every hotel—the difference is how management responds. Here, the impression I got was that nobody really cared. And clearly, my experience was not an isolated one. Every time I passed through reception, I saw multiple guests complaining about different issues. When complaints become a regular scene at the front desk, management should be asking themselves some very serious questions. A prestigious address or convenient location does not make a good hotel. Hospitality is about service, safety, responsiveness, professionalism, and making guests feel that their concerns actually matter. Unfortunately, this hotel failed on all of those fundamentals. Great location. Terrible execution. Poor accountability. Extremely disappointing management. For the price and expectations associated with a hotel in such a prime location, this experience was simply unacceptable. I would not recommend this hotel, and I certainly would not stay here again. Management needs to seriously reassess its service standards, staff training, maintenance controls, and—most importantly—its attitude toward its guests

I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at The LaLiT New Delhi. I had booked rooms for my family expecting a smooth, professional, and comfortable experience, but it turned out to be frustrating from the very beginning. The check-in process was poorly handled. Different staff members provided contradictory information about our booking, and my family was left waiting at the reception for an extended period. It was both inconvenient and embarrassing. We were even insensitively advised to opt for a handicapped room if we wanted rooms on the same floor, which was disappointing to hear at a hotel of this stature. Although we were eventually allotted rooms together, one of the rooms had a strong unpleasant odor and dirty mirrors — clearly below five-star standards. The situation escalated at midnight when one of the changed rooms was locked due to a one-time access key and had not been properly updated under our name in the system. The explanation that the staff was new and “such things happen” was unacceptable. While I understand that not all complaints receive attention, I felt it necessary to share this experience. Based on what we encountered, I would hesitate to recommend this hotel to others.
