I recently stayed at The Umrao and had a very pleasant experience. The stay was comfortable, the food was excellent, and the overall hospitality was impressive. The housekeeping staff was highly proactive and ensured everything was taken care of promptly. A special mention to Mr. Bintu, who was looking after the swimming pool and gym area. He was extremely humble, helpful, and down-to-earth. His friendly attitude and willingness to assist guests made a positive difference to my stay. Thank you to the entire team for making my visit enjoyable. I would be happy to recommend this hotel to others.

The hotel was gorgeous. Room was spacious,and shower was great. Their body soap smelled so good.Didn't have chance to use much but pool and gym looked very well taken care of, and restaurant was delicious and considering the atmosphere , it wasn't too expensive either. Breakfast had wide range of food,chai was great. Only thing was gym and pool would be inaccessible late night, I wish they would have told me that, and check in and out took longer compared to other hotels. Access wise it's close from airport but,there weren't any shops or restaurants in walkable area so really need to prepare to commit to the hotel.

Extremely Disappointing Stay – Poor Management and Negligence ⭐ 1/5 My wife and I stayed at The Umrao, Delhi, from 19th to 20th October, and what should have been a comfortable stay turned into an absolute nightmare. We returned around 9 PM to find that our key card wouldn't open Room 215. After multiple trips to reception and repeated failed attempts, we were told the door lock's battery had died. We waited for assistance, but nobody showed up promptly. My wife, exhausted and fasting, had to wait outside our room while we repeatedly chased the staff. The situation became even more ridiculous when management decided to use a master key, only to discover that THE HOTEL HAD MISPLACED IT! After over an hour, we were told a staff member had mistakenly taken it to their Saket property. We were promised it would arrive by 11 PM, but it finally arrived around midnight. We were moved to Room 217, but all our belongings, including clothes, chargers, and my laptop, remained locked inside Room 215. As a result, I missed important client work and business opportunities. This was not a minor inconvenience; it was a complete failure of basic hotel operations and security. What was even worse was the management's attitude. Despite making us wait for nearly three hours, there was not even a proper apology, let alone any gesture of goodwill or compensation. We checked out around 8 AM, and the staff still couldn't be bothered to apologise. Mistakes can happen, but the complete lack of urgency, accountability, and basic courtesy is unacceptable for a premium hotel. The only reason I'm giving one star is that I genuinely liked their restaurant, Thyme. The hotel management and service, however, were an absolute disappointment. Think twice before booking. A lavish property means nothing if management cannot ensure basic room access or take responsibility when things go wrong.

We had a wonderful stay at The Umrao. It is a beautiful hotel with excellent facilities, very comfortable rooms, and everything you need to have a pleasant and relaxing stay.|The service and attention from the entire staff were truly exceptional. Everyone was kind, professional, and always willing to help. A special mention, however, goes to Nikita, who works at the reception. She was incredibly attentive and helpful throughout our stay. Her warm smile makes you feel at home, and she always made us feel supported and well taken care of. She genuinely goes the extra mile to make guests feel welcome. A huge 100 points to the entire team for the excellent service, and a special honorary mention to Nikita for her outstanding work and wonderful attitude. She truly made a difference in our stay. Highly recommended!

Posting this feedback quite late but I had to do it. We held our Annual Sales Meeting in early April, stayed for a night and conducted meeting in conference room. Rooms were clean and spacious, buffet spread was great and food was delicious. Big cheers to their Chefs and other staff... they super polite, prompt and attentive. This was our second time in this property and their standard of services have gone higher. Loved the experience holding our meeting at this beautiful property.

Not-Good experience. Rooms are good but Civil work going on in the hotel in the night at 1030pm.😢😢 Must be avoided. Not sure how the hotel management missed such BASIC things. The noise was audible loud until the lobby. It really disturbed sleep. The outside of the Hotel, lobby, dining area loks like a Royal retreat, but the rooms/bathrooms are relatively smaller. Hyatt was offering better value for a lower price Front desk team is really good.

Well honestly speaking this hotel is a bit overpriced. I checked into the hotel with a positive mindset but it turns out to be a bit disappointing. First of all the hotel doesn't allow orders like Swiggy or Zomato to come inside the hotel for guest delivery. Moreover their in room dining menu is mediocre 2-3star hotel menu. So technically they want you to purchase food from their in room dining because the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, and its right on the national highway which is extremely busy and there is nothing around. No shops no restaurant. Secondly when you check in, the hotel will caution you about a very strict policy of no guest allowed after 7 pm, which I feel is a little bit too harsh if I want my same gender friends to come to my room. Come on it's a hotel not a hostel that you have such policy in place. After 7pm They expect the guest to come and sit in the restaurant which certainly means that they expect the guests to order so that more revenue can be generated on F&B ! I've never come across such policy in any four star or five star hotel in India where they have such mediocre policies in place ! Talking about rooms, the rooms are quite old, No Smart tv or big led tv in room, They have a crappy 2010 era Television screen which is damn antique and vintage. I was on ground floor, and I don't think it was worth paying that much money for the room I was allotted without breakfast, I think I've stayed in better hotels than this for much better competitive pricing. They promote themselves as near to Indra Gandhi International Airport, which is somewhat not true, due to heavy traffic at the highway. The hotel is approximately 4.9 km from T1, T2 and T3 and I don't think it is possible to reach the airport that fast and you might have to give at least 45 minutes during traffic time and approximately 25 minutes to 30 minutes during normal traffic hours of Delhi. It looks grand and expensive from outside but its rooms are certainly not worth paying that much and its vintage and damp. ! So unfortunately it's a no for me next time ! Maybe it's a good destination for people who plan to have their wedding at this place with good room rates to offer but for tourists and travellers I certainly don't recommend

Great experience overall, but I wasn't entirely happy with the staff. They could be more respectful and courteous to everyone, regardless of who they are. That's really the only area that needs improvement. Aside from that, I had an absolutely lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed my visit.
