Google· a year agoUnfortunately, very disappointing We had high hopes for our stay, but unfortunately, it was very disappointing. On the positive side, the food was really good and the staff were kind and friendly. However, the villa itself was not clean upon arrival. There was a serious leak in the downstairs bathroom, which caused the entire floor to get wet — even the carpet in the bedroom was soaked. The glass dining table was unstable and felt like it could collapse at any moment. We reported both the leak and the table, and were told someone would come the next day, but no one ever showed up. We were also charged €20 per night for our dog. Normally I understand and accept this, but in this case it felt unreasonable, especially considering the cleanliness issues. The playground was also very unsafe for our toddler, with exposed nails, broken steps on the slide, and other damaged equipment. Overall, the price–quality ratio of the villa was far from acceptable. Despite the lovely staff and food, we would not return due to these serious issues.

Google· a year agoIt is a 15 min drive to the castle. Way too far to walk to the castle. The upstairs and downstairs smelled of mold. The bathrooms didn't have shampoo/conditioner and the body soap bottle was completely empty. There were long strands of hair from previous guests in the bathroom and things were rusting. The sink or bathtub wouldn't drain properly. The pillows and blankets smelled of mildew, and the rug in the bedroom was drenched with muddy/old dust ot was disgusting. I had a headache in the middle of the night because of the moldy smell. The refrigerator was sprayed with some cleaning disinfectant that when I opened it, it was so foul that there was no way I would ever store any food in there. Lumps of dust in the corners and under tables. I can't believe American Express would even suggest a place like this. For your health sake, NEVER book here. The only positive experience was the gal at the front desk. No indoor pools or hot tubs. Just 2 outdoor pools.

Google· 2 years agoAfter coming to the 5* resort we’ve expected nothing but beautiful surrounding, well designed and maintained villas and pleasant club house with friendly stuff. Unfortunately nothing could be further from the truth… The furniture and equipment in villas is old and destroyed. No cleaning service at all. Awful, smelly water unabled to drink. At the club restaurant/bar staff barely speaks English. After we came with our well educated dog (which are welcomed in the resort) we were asked to seat outside but the terrace was totally unprepared - no lights, heaters as was windy and chilly, not mentioning about some other nice cozy details like pillows or blankets. There is no other choice to go, only drive to the nearest town about 30min, so instead we tried to seat outside our villa once watering system has turned on (9pm). But beyond all of this, the worst were dead little frogs in the swimming pool!! Seriously…??! Unbelievable.

Google· a year agoThe resort is falling apart from lack of maintenance and negligence. Beware the rental ads for houses here, most of them completely misrepresent the poor state of the things. Condos show black mold on the facade and they're not taken care of very well, even the sidewalks are dangerous to walk on, I risk breaking my ankle every day. Half the resort looks like a deserted construction site, smart people are renting and buying elsewhere, and the poor people who own here are desperately trying to get out of their mortgages. Terrible management: don't rent here, don't live here, or you will regret it.

Tripadvisor· a year agoOur recent stay at Bom Sucesso Resort was extremely disappointing and fell far below expectations. We encountered numerous problems during our 2-day stay over New Year’s Eve:| • Heating and Wi-Fi were non-functional upon arrival, and while fixed later, the Wi-Fi remained unreliable.| • Staff gave absurd instructions like not moving the sofa or pressing a certain light switch to avoid disconnecting the Wi-Fi—completely impractical, especially with kids in the house.| • A broken bench forced me to drive to reception for replacement chairs.| • Frequent power outages left half the house without lights or electricity on New Year’s Eve. Attempts to fix this issue were temporary and ultimately failed. The most frustrating part is that these electrical issues appear to be a known problem, yet the villa was rented out regardless. Even worse, despite raising these issues during our stay, at checkout, and via email afterward, I have received no response whatsoever from the resort’s management. This lack of accountability and customer service is unacceptable. I cannot recommend Bom Sucesso Resort to anyone looking for a reliable, stress-free vacation. Avoid at all costs if you value good service and responsiveness.

Tripadvisor· 3 years agoLovely resort and very quiet. he villas are all very spacious and fully serviced. We had a one bedroom villa and it was very large. The site has been built for a few years and shows signs of age. The villa is cleaned every day and the pools are also cleaned daily. It is a golf resort and this is the main income for the area. The facilities are great and the site clean. There is 24 hour reception and security. The area is very natural and peaceful, so if you want to relax and take time out this is a great place for that. The villa has all the white goods and well equipped kitchen as well as two shower rooms. Full WiFi and multi channel TV/DVD!
