We stayed here for one night to enjoy the medieval walled City. The rooms are so very charming. Breakfast was wonderful with a delicious assortment of options. Our host was warm and friendly. We truly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back again someday

HEALTH HAZARD! DO NOT STAY HERE! There was mould everywhere underneath the wall lining and in the ceiling, so strong you could smell it. We tried to contact the owners for a refund but were refused any sort of compensation.

Stopped here for one night and the place is amazing! The beds are super comfy, bathroom is lovely and clean! Room is spacious and decorated lovely! Stayed around christmas period is a great location to local shops and castle Overall would defo reccommend it as its a bargin! Owners are really nice and accomodating. Stayed for breakfast which provided a variety of tasty treats.

Can’t commend on the service as there were none . Overnight stay was great - only saw the janitor fixing the shower when I arrived and the next day when I left saw the housekeeping . Nice little touch of tea coffee water at the dining room . There is also a sitting room with tv . Small guesthouse of 8 rooms . Love the Xmas decorations ! Location is fantastic - just after the wall arch entrance so it’s near the middle of the shopping street . Didn’t have breakfast but there were cereals available . Everything is clean . The shower area is small with drawn curtains around . Might be an issue if you are a big guy ! I will rtn here to stay in my next visit .

Liked: Nestled in the center of this delightful castle town, the hotel boasts a superb location near its historic lanes. The interior radiates elegance, with single rooms tastefully adorned with artwork and bathed in ample natural light. Additionally, the breakfast is delightful—special thanks to the staff for serving freshly made scrambled eggs with bacon. Disliked: It's unexpected to have no air conditioning in the room, leaving me with no choice but to open the window on a hot afternoon. The shower area feels cramped, and there's also no large table available in the room.

Quaint/quirky. Only 8 rooms or so. Breakfast can be in two sittings if the hotel is full and the patio is not being used. Paper thin walls. No noise abatement from the street. No lotion, hair conditioner or shampoo...just soap. No vehicles are allowed inside so carrying luggage might be a problem. Public parking outside of walls only takes cash.

One of my best Portugal stays. Service and staff were amazing. Mr. Diamante, a gem, is properly named. My view was amazing, and I got a wonderful time lapse from my window. Rooms were very cute, almost romantic and very nice - a definite value for the cost to say the least. Breakfast was a nice touch, but nothing gourmet - great for me to get a good coffee and meal and move on - but if you're looking for a formal breakfast there are plenty of places nearby. There are immediate access points to the rear wall tower and walkway, or out the North Gate. I felt exceptionally cared for and comfortable - I only wish I had stayed longer!

Incredible hospitality from Mr. Diamante and his partner. It was easy to access by parking our rental car just outside the city wall and walking 2 minutes into the fortress walled city. The two story hotel is tucked one block up from the main bustling street. The breakfast included was a good option to get the day started early as many places opened later. It's a charming and quaint accomodation that is clean, cozy and romantic with 5-star quality hospitality. Each room has a view of a fortress wall. (The walls are not entirely soundproof, but many guests were respectful and quiet)
