Nothing short of incredible. From the moment we booked our 5 night stay, the team were on hand to answer any questions and were very helpful, their responses were thorough and quick! Susannah was wonderful and was always on hand to answer any questions, alongside all the other staff members too. We wanted to arrange breakfast in the room for one of the mornings and the team sent us a never ending list of food and drink items we could choose from, all included, and it was brought to us on the morning presented beautifully. We ate breakfast each morning, had one lunch time at the villa which was lovely, a great selection of salads and coffees. Dinner was the best meal we’d ever eaten, so much so we made a reservation for the following night and had the exact same dishes. Compliments to the chefs for their amazing work and kindness throughout our stay. We had a relaxed day by the pool and we asked if we could have a drink, the chef was so accommodating and sourced different ingredients to make the drinks we wanted. The location and views are outstanding. It felt so surreal being there, like a postcard. We spent a lot of time in Bellagio which was a lovely 10 minute drive, and we got the ferry to many other towns across Lake Como, from Bellagio, during our stay. Easily accessible, a code is a provided so you can go in and out as you please, even during out of hours. Our room was made up each day which was wonderful to come back to after our days out. The villa is wonderfully relaxed, small, and it really does feel like home. We would recommend Villa Mojana to anybody and we can’t wait to stay again! We never wanted to leave. The best accommodation we have ever stayed in and the best trip! Thank you all for making our stay so memorable ♥️

Villa Mojana is STUNNING and gets 5 stars for the view alone. The pool overlooking the lake is just amazing. We stayed in one of the garden rooms- they were nice but not super luxurious (I think these could be improved slightly to elevate the whole experience). We ate dinner in the main house one night and really enjoyed this (wild boar pasta was delicious!) again with the dreamy view over the lake. In terms of location, we were around a 5/10 minute drive into bellagio. This was absolutely fine for us but people without cars may struggle slightly. We didn't have too much trouble parking at the villa either. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting Como.

This was one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had. With only seven rooms on the property, the atmosphere feels incredibly private, peaceful, and personalized. The true highlight, however, was the chef. He is exceptionally talented, and because the resort hosts so few guests, he’s able to create a genuinely intimate and unforgettable dining experience. It was honestly one of the best dinners I’ve ever had — and I don’t say that lightly. Every dish felt thoughtful, refined, and beautifully executed. One suggestion: the resort should consider offering daytime cooking classes with the chef. His talent and approach to food would make for an amazing experience that guests would absolutely value.

A fantastic villa very close to Bellagio but also with the benefit of being in a secluded location so you’re away from the crowds. The view of the lake and the mountains from all parts and rooms on the property is amazing. The rooms are great and the pool, while we didn’t use it as it’s still cold, looked very inviting with a great view also. We had dinner there two nights as after the first night we just had to have it again. Very attentive staff made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. Breakfast was also very good with usual Italian options but also the ability to have cooked eggs and bacon. Anna was especially welcoming and went out of our way to help us through booking and during our stay.

We rented Villa Mojana for our wedding weekend and it was absolutely amazing! The views are breathtaking - each room has its own amazing view. The landscape is gorgeous and beautifully maintained. The heated infinity pool overlooking the lake and mountainside is perfect. Breakfast every morning on the outdoor terrace was phenomenal. We held our ceremony on the terrace & continued into the night with beautiful drinks and snacks. The Villas private chef made us a delicious 3-course dinner, which included one of the best things we ate while in Italy - slow cooked beef ragu with homemade pasta. The staff at Villa Mojana are extremely accommodating and hardworking. All I can say is WOW & thank you so much to Villa Mojana and their staff. We had the most amazing time here with our family and friends. If you’re looking to rent a private villa for an intimate event on Lake Como - this is your place!

Where can I eat near Villa Mojana Bellagio?

For dining, the hotel itself has a bar, cafe, and snack bar, so you can easily grab a bite or a drink on site. For a wider choice, Bellagio is a short drive away and offers many restaurants with traditional Italian food and fresh lake fish. You could try Trattoria San Giacomo or Ristorante Bilacus for local dishes. Enoteca Principessa, about 3.9 km away, is another option for a meal or a drink. The hotel's restaurant also serves fresh pastries, cheese, fruits, and juice.

What is the area around Villa Mojana Bellagio like?

The hotel sits right on the shore of Lake Como's Branch of Lecco, so you are steps from the water with lake views from many rooms. The immediate area is a quiet, residential stretch of Oliveto Lario, ideal for relaxed lakeside strolls. Bellagio Port, with its ferries, shops, and dining, is about a 5-minute drive or 3.9 km away. Villa Melzi Gardens are 3.5 km off, and the historic center of Bellagio, including Villa Serbelloni and San Giacomo Basilica, is roughly 3.9 km from the hotel. The hotel's own bar, cafe, and snack bar are right on site for a quick bite or drink. For more options, the short drive to Bellagio opens up lakeside restaurants and cafes.

How do I get to Villa Mojana Bellagio from the airport or main train station?

The nearest airport is Lugano (LUG-Agno), about 43.6 km away, with Bergamo, Linate, and Malpensa further out. From any of these, a taxi, ride-hailing, or a pre-booked transfer is the most direct way to reach the hotel. Bellagio has no train station, so if you come by train, head to Varenna-Esino, Como, or Lecco and continue by ferry, bus, taxi, or private transfer. The hotel is steps from the Branch of Lecco and about a 5-minute drive from Bellagio Port, so ferries from there are convenient. Free self parking is available if you drive.

What's there to do near Villa Mojana Bellagio in the evening?

In the evening, you can enjoy a drink at the hotel's own bar or snack bar, and the cafe is also on site for a relaxed end to the day. The hotel sits right on the lake, so a quiet evening stroll along the shore is a natural choice. Bellagio Port is about a 5-minute drive away, where you can find lakeside dining options like Trattoria San Giacomo and Ristorante Bilacus. For a special night out, consider the Michelin-starred Mistral at Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni, also in Bellagio. The area is peaceful, so most evening activity centers on the hotel and the nearby town.

Is Villa Mojana Bellagio a good base for exploring Orvieto?

Villa Mojana Bellagio is on Lake Como, not in Orvieto, so it is not a base for exploring Orvieto. The Orvieto sights, like Pozzo della Cava and Orvieto Cathedral, are about 425 km away, which means a long trip by car or train. For exploring the immediate area, the hotel is steps from the Branch of Lecco and a short drive from Bellagio Port, with Villa Melzi Gardens about 3.5 km away. You can easily reach Bellagio's lakeside attractions and ferries from here. For Orvieto, plan a separate stay in that city.
