Response from the property
Dear Peter, Thank you so much for staying with us at Dame des Arts, and for taking the time to share your review. Being right in the heart of Paris clearly made for an easy business trip, with the river, Notre Dame, and the Eiffel Tower all so close by. We are also glad breakfast and our servers made such a lasting impression. Good news though, our hotel guests can actually access the rooftop terrace any time outside of the bar's hours, so there is still a lovely way to enjoy those views even without a reservation. We would love to welcome you again on a future trip to Paris so you can fully enjoy our facilities! Warm regards, Haniella - Guest Experience Manager

The hotel's own Pimpan restaurant serves seasonal French dishes in a ground-floor dining room and a garden courtyard, and the Rooftop Bar offers cocktails and light snacks with a 360-degree view. For a quick bite, Boulangerie Liberté is a 3-minute walk away and supplies the hotel's pastries. Le Procope, the oldest café in Paris, is 4 minutes away and serves traditional French cuisine like onion soup and coq au vin. Café de Flore, a historic Art Deco café, is a 10-minute stroll. Maison Verot, a traiteur about 8 minutes away, is great for picnic supplies. You'll find plenty of cafés and restaurants in the surrounding Latin Quarter streets.
The hotel sits in the Latin Quarter on the Left Bank, between Rue Danton and Rue Suger, with the Seine and Notre-Dame Cathedral a short walk away. Sainte-Chapelle is 4 minutes on foot, the Panthéon 10 minutes, and Jardin du Luxembourg 10 minutes. The streets are lined with art galleries, cinemas, and collector's bookshops, and the riverbanks host book stalls and art vendors. Café de Flore, a historic Art Deco café, is a 10-minute stroll, and Le Bon Marché, Paris's first department store, is nearby. It's a central, walkable area with easy access to the Right Bank and the Louvre, 12 minutes away.
From Charles de Gaulle or Orly airport, take the RER B line to Saint-Michel-Notre-Dame station, which is a few minutes' walk from the hotel. From Gare du Nord, the RER B takes about 5 minutes to the same station. From Gare Montparnasse, take Metro Line 4 to Odéon. From Gare de Lyon, take the RER A, RER D, or Metro Line 1 with a transfer at Châtelet, or walk 8 minutes from Hôtel de Ville. A taxi or ride-hailing service is also an option, with the drive from Charles de Gaulle taking about an hour and from Orly about 45 minutes.
For an evening out, start at the hotel's Rooftop Bar for a 360-degree view of Paris, then head to the ground-floor restaurant Pimpan for a seasonal dinner. A short walk away, the Latin Quarter's streets are lined with art galleries, cinemas, and bookshops to browse. The banks of the Seine, a 7-minute walk from the hotel, are a lovely spot for an evening stroll. You can also walk to Notre-Dame Cathedral in 7 minutes or the Panthéon in 10 minutes to see them lit up. For a classic Parisian evening, Café de Flore is a 10-minute walk away, and Le Procope, the oldest café in Paris, is just 4 minutes from the hotel.
Yes, Hotel Dame des Arts is a great base for exploring Paris on foot. Sainte-Chapelle is a 4-minute walk, Notre-Dame Cathedral is 7 minutes, and the Panthéon and Jardin du Luxembourg are each 10 minutes away. The Louvre Museum is a 12-minute walk, and the Musée d'Orsay is 17 minutes, so most major sights are within a short stroll. For farther places like the Eiffel Tower, you can take the metro or RER from Saint-Michel Notre-Dame station, just 50 meters away. The Latin Quarter's streets are full of cafés and bookshops, making it easy to wander between sights. It's a convenient spot to start and end your day.
