Trip.com· 5 months agoEasy to find. We booked 2 rooms the same - 1 was tiny that we couldn't even leave our luggage open and had to stand sideways in the shower and couldnt sit on the toilet straight - the other room was fine. Breakfast was nice. Had elevators, so was nice not having to carry out luggage up stairs.

Google· 2 months agoGreat experience with Victoria Hotel. The rooms weren’t gross, they were clean and there was also a ventilator in the room. Shower and sink were good, there was the option of letting the cleaning guy clean your room daily without any cost. They were also changing the towels daily. Breakfast was great and simple. The hotel was very accesible, and the metro was very close. In general we had a faboulus experience. LISTEN CAREFULLY TO THE OTHER REVIEWS. We were scared at first because we red it wasn’t a great place but in the end it was nice.

Tripadvisor· 2 months agoGood location, yes it does need updating but it is only a 2 star hotel! Luckily we took our own fan as read there was no air con. Peaceful nights sleep, only problem was the toilet was that close to the wall you had to sit on a bit of a side! Small room but was only to rest our heads for the night! Lots of towels but we had taken our own anyway. Downfall with the breakfast, we only went the first morning and went elsewhere the rest of the stay. Staff were all lovely and changed our rooms when we realised we had accidentally booked a double bed and not twin beds!

Google· 2 months agoThe room was pretty spacious and it was a good value for money, staff service was also good and polite. The biggest downside for me was the bathroom lighting, which was extremely weak and made it very difficult to properly see details on my face. Breakfast was also pretty terrible, there were very few options and almost nothing that actually keeps you full, although the staff working there was very friendly and charismatic.

Tripadvisor· 3 months agothe hotel is right around the corner to a metro station that takes you straight to all attractions, it's got some good little shops and cafes around it which was nice for a stroll. the room was very small we had a twin room but we did only stay for 4 nights and it worked out well, we had the rooms cleans bins changed often, there was one day where we didn't get enough towels but it was fine they still got changed and you can tell it was run down and old but could not complain it's just a nplace to sleep, we were a couple doors down from the lift and we could hear a bit of noise in the night ppl coming back but it's expected and i found the breakfast a bit plain. the staff were lovely one guy didn't speak much english which is advertised but we found a way around it the ladies down at the food area were the loveliest and welcoming. |overall the stay was perfect for what we needed, it's a cheap hotel just to sleep in, it did the job and it was easy access to everything with kind and helpful staff

Tripadvisor· 3 months agoAvoid if you're looking for a comfortable stay|I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share our experience.|Unfortunately, our stay at Hotel Victoria was disappointing from start to finish. The room was in a very poor condition when we arrived. There were holes in the walls, damaged and vandalised furniture, stains and dirt on the walls. It looked tired, neglected, and was nothing like we expected or was advertised.|I went to reception as soon as we arrived to report the damage because I didn't want to be blamed for it. Instead of taking my concerns seriously, the receptionist laughed and said, "Oh, I know, it's OK." I found this completely unprofessional. The hotel was clearly aware of the condition of the room but had done nothing to improve it.|Housekeeping was also below standard. We weren't given clean towels every day and had to keep asking reception for fresh ones. We also requested an extra pillow, but despite asking more than once, we were left waiting far longer than we should have been for such a simple request.|One of the biggest issues was the lack of air conditioning. During a very hot stay in Paris, this made the room extremely uncomfortable. We were given a tiny fan instead, but it was covered in thick dust, which blew around the room every time it was switched on.|The bathroom was another disappointment. The shower doors didn't meet properly, so water poured onto the bathroom floor every time we used it, leaving a large puddle to clean up after every shower.|The noise was also unbearable. There was constant noise from outside the hotel as well as from other guests, making it almost impossible to get a decent night's sleep.|The only positive I can mention is the hotel's location, which is convenient for exploring Paris. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough to make up for the condition of the hotel and the poor customer service.|I genuinely cannot believe Love Holidays recommends this hotel on its website. Based on our experience, it fell far below the standard we expected. We saved hard for this trip and were incredibly disappointed. I would not stay here again and certainly would not recommend it to anyone else.

Google· a month agoThe rooms, lifts, corridors, all very small, the rooms are very basic, no ac but a fan is provided, no hair dryer in room and reception was too busy when I passed so I didn't ask if one is available. The shower is fine and water pressure is good. The toiletries provided are hair and body wash in one, my hair is moody so I didnt use this. Towels are provided. There is a carrefour city across the street and a monop a few mins walk away. The staff are friendly and patient with my utterly diabolical attempts to speak French, and they all speak English as far as I've seen. The hotel is clean and cosy which is all I really wanted. Location is so central to everything we ended up at notre dame by accident while just having a wander. House keeping came in while we were out which we didnt expect and bless them they tidied around the clothes and travel chaos and left everything where it was after tidying under it, we will not leave the room such a disaster tomorrow! Not going to matter to everyone but to those who care, chopin once lived here and it has been very lovely to know this while walking throught the passages on the street, he has been my favourite composer my whole life and this has been very special for me :) Highly recommend and only not 5 stars as the photos make the rooms look significantly larger and the rooms lack a lot of amenities, like a kettle/hair dryer/ glasses/ect

Google· 3 months agoPlease do not stay here! I travelled in a party of three and we stayed for five days. On arrival at the hotel we found that our group of three with two bedrooms had been split in the building. Myself as a single occupant of one of the rooms was placed right next to the entrance and the other two parties were placed at the other side of the building. Hotel rooms are extremely small they are not well maintained there were numerous markings on the wall. The rooms had clearly not been cleaned everything seemed to have a layer of dust, especially the skirting boards. The laminate flooring was clearly chipped and sharp in some places to stand on. The bathroom is extremely small and the shower is extremely tight. In the room I had I found that the shower would not stay in place when switched on therefore I had to hold the shower head the entire time to have a shower however I could not remove this from the wall which made it difficult. The rooms fit the bed with very small space to move round the bed only. When the cleaners did attend they did not change the sheets they just turned them over ( I found this as I got a small bit of make up on the sheet and this was not changed for the 5 days we were there. The bathroom sink plug was pressed down the entire time so it was difficult to use. This was reported to the cleaner but nothing was done. The plug sockets in the room where all loose. Some did not work and some where place in parts of the room that made them difficult to use. The ac units in the room do not work. We visited when it was highs of 38 and they rooms where very uncomfortable. The walls in the hotel are very thin so you can hear every noise coming from the rooms at the side of you. As my room was by the entrance, I could hear everybody checking in checking out people running around the building. The windows to the hotel room rooms could not be closed or locked secure therefore anybody could come into your room at any point. My room had a balcony outside which was accessible by thought of the hotel rooms. During my state there was a group of young men and a group of young women who chose to spend their days and night sat out on that balcony till the early hours in the morning playing loud music making a lot of noise. When I complained about this to the front desk, they said they didn’t understand English and wouldn’t assist. During our stay none of our group was able to get much sleep due to the noise in the hotel and the concerns for our safety whilst we slept. Under my room was the kitchen so I had the noise of breakfast service setting up from 5 am. This was loud especially after hearing noise all night from other people. The other hotel room had the same issues with the window and their window opened up to a fire exit. They also found people throughout the day going up and down the fire exit and throughout the night. The main door to your hotel room and not secure. On one occasion in the middle of the night another hotel user push their way into the room and has to add to be asked to leave. The location of the hotel is good however the hotel is poorly maintained and unclean. The day staff where helpful with how to use the metro or which ones to get but nothing more. I would definitely not stay here again.!!
