Google· 3 months agoI stayed at The Walled Off Hotel with a friend from July 22nd to 24th. I didn't book through any website; I simply searched on Google for a hotel in the specific area I wanted. I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent location, Close to bars and restaurants, 10 minutes from the Opéra and Galeries Lafayette, it’s a lively neighborhood for those who enjoy Paris nightlife, and I felt completely safe arriving after midnight. The hotel was clean, and the service from the super cordial and respectful staff was great—I communicated with them in English. The breakfast was very good, and the rooms were comfortable, featuring a bathroom and a hairdryer; however, it was a bit hot, so having air conditioning would have been nice. A special thank you to the staff member who assisted me, Ibrahim, and allowed me to shoot some videos for my social media. I would certainly recommend this hotel to women traveling alone, groups of friends, or couples; I will definitely stay here again when I return to Paris.

Trip.com· 8 months agoWonderful location and very clean. Friendly staff. The walls are paper thin so you can hear EVERYTHING, including the elevator.

Google· 6 months agoThe bed was warm and the room was clean. Location in Paris was fantastic for a weekend getaway. Unfortunately, 2/3 days we had no hot water. We had no hot water upon arrival and we were not notified. When we called the front desk they said a technician was coming in the morning to fix it. Ok 1 day of no hot water won't kill us. However, upon returning that night, we asked if they were able to fix it. The response was "we don't know, it's complicated". No hot water again. We complained upon checkout and received an email that said "note that we upgraded your room" (news to us, would have rather had a smaller bed than no hot water-ended up in a superior room) "enjoy 50% off your next stay" (No, we will not be back again chancing whether or not your water works). Please note the outlets for the bathroom are also non existent or placed on the outside. If you want to, i don't know, curl your hair, good luck as there is also no mirror outside the bathroom.(Where the plugs are)

Google· 4 weeks agoI stayed one week for the first time knowing the area rather well having stayed in this area many times over the years. I think one have to pay a premium to stay in this area so this hotel is a cheaper option which came with its short comings: smaller room with unlevelled flooring, older building with poorer sound proofing. Does all that reflect in the price? I paid an average of just under 200 euro/night for the week in end Sept. Staff members are great but the parameters there might persuade me to go elsewhere next time.

Tripadvisor· a month agoBest value for money accommodation, great location near the opera house and metro station and safe for women traveling alone or with friends, I was very well taken care of, clean rooms, excellent service, very good breakfast, I will return to Paris soon and will definitely stay there again.

Google· 3 years agoVery friendly staff and i highly recommend for any tourists. We're from the US and the rooms are smaller than back home but very comfortable, beautiful and not too small for two people. My only complaints are the desk + night stands sizes and lack of a flat head showerhead 🚿. These inconveniences are manageable and far outweighed by the location. There's so many awesome restaurants in walking distance, the metro and anything u can think off. If you don't mind less space at a reasonably affordable price, I highly recommend booking here! U won't regret it! Ps... the ac is mostly just a fan but we found it provides enough cooling

Google· a month agoI booked a single room without an bathroom on the 4th floor. I emailed the hotel before hand to check if the elevator was working because of my health condition. When I heard the elevator was undergoing maintenance and wouldn’t be available during my stay I was a little stressed. But the staff handled it perfectly and when I arrived I got a room on the first floor. They helped me with my luggage and made sure everything was okay. Thank you so much! The hotel itself is and old Parisian building. I knew what to expect, it was small and not the newest. For me that’s fine. My room was a little dusty around the nightstands. The room was hot, but I had a fan in the room that I could use. The bathroom looked clean. I stayed for 2 nights and they made my bed and threw away the trash. That was nice for such a short stay. The neighborhood is very nice, a lot of cafes and bakery’s. The public transport is around the corner. This is a perfect hotel for people who are going out and about. If you want to stay only in you’re hotel room, maybe this is not the hotel for you.

Google· 4 months agoThe good things first. Great location next to metro, food store, dining place and bars. Very friendly staff, good enough breakfast and very clean. The mediocre things are lack of outlets in the room for electricity. The bad things would be the price, there is 4 star hotel next to it that is cheaper and have airconditions that this don’t so one should be really critical before ordering. No air conditioning when it’s 37 C in Paris is no fun. All in all I enjoyed my stay but doubt I ever be back here.
