I had a room on the top floor facing the river, incredible view of the river, swimming pool and outdoor bar. The location of the hotel is great, short walk to most tourists attractions, restaurants, bars and weekend boardwalk street fair. My room was very specious, had a mini bar, coffee station, a TV, hair dryer, and a safe. The bed was comfortable, the AC cold, and WIFI worked perfectly. Housekeeping came in daily, cleaned the room, replenished 2 drinking water bottles and changed towels. The main issue with the hotel is that it is aging and upkeep is really lagging. The bathtub area had a serious Black mold issue that was very unpleasant to the eyes, and also felt like it was possibly dangerous. Most electrical outlets in the room didn’t work, so charging by the bed wasn’t an option. The gym is down by the pool, it actually has a good variety of equipment and a sauna and steam room, but there too upkeep is very behind and in desperate need of attention. Overall, it was good value for money, and if it wasn’t for the mold in the bathroom I would keep coming back over and over.

The Cambodiana is a heritage hotel from the first decade of Cambodian independence which has somehow survived several attempts of it being demolished and redeveloped. It ought to be preserved as heritage because it is one of the best midcentury modern hotels in the region. If you are a fan of 1960s architecture and design, you will enjoy the spacious lobby, rooms and public areas. It is also very handy for the main attractions in town, especially the Royal Palace and National Museum. The stay are friendly and welcoming. Costs are reasonable and the breakfast buffet is worth it.

The environment of the hotel it's in the middle of the city it's very easy for accommodating during my visit. The staff very helpful for assist while we were there. I would like to recommend this hotel to who like a beautiful place.

The hotel is situated at the river not far from the Royal Palace and river front leisure area. Very large hotel with rooms over 5 floors. My room overlooked the river and garden with swimming pool, there was a singer in the evening but not too much noise. The room is big with fridge, coffee tea making facilities, small desk, one chair, a TV and large double bed. Bath room with bath and shower over the bath. The room was clean although felt bit dated.The price was good and I would definitely visit again.

I recently stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and enjoyed immensely the re-connection with the hotel after staying many times during 1994 and i995 when the hotel was a Sofitel property. I also stayed with my wife again in 2002. It was just wonderful to connect with a number of the team who were working back during my mid '90's stays including San on front desk and a number of the F&B team. The hotel is still excellent and a great location and the best vies ono the Mekong River. Saum arkoun for the hospitality and looking after me again during my stay. Wonderful memories and re-connection to my time working in Phnom Penh. Regards, Adam

I had a very relaxing stay, and Piseth (at the reception) was very accomodating and warm making me feel like this place is an extension of my parents’ home. Although the facilities are a bit outdated, but the staff gave a very warm service. If you are a solo traveller who just wants to relax( sleep all day, lounge by the pool or enjoy the sauna steam facilities, I would recommend this place. Get the room with a view by the river. The glimpse of the sunrise by is amazing. I jut wish that the hotel would atleast provide electrical outlet with USB port, and update their TV connection(for netflix chill).

Pleasant experience overall with a fantastic location! It is super close to the Royal Palace, Wat Phnom, and Tuol Sleng, and having an ATM by the reception was super handy. The only drawback is that the place feels quite dated and a bit stuffy. Great for location, but don't expect a modern vibe.

​Great place to stay for people who like old hotel styles. The room lights are dim but good enough for sleeping. My room faced the river and it was great! I didn't try local menu at the hotel as there were no halal food available except boiled egg and white rice. Muslim should be careful ordering omelette as they also mixed it with ham (pork ham, confirmed by the chef) and there was non-halal ingredients contamination.
