We have just returned from a week in Port Douglas where we stayed at the Martinique on Macrossan Apartments. Ken & Colin warmly welcomed us all (3 couples) and ensured that our stay was comfortable, enjoyable and relaxing. The rooms were clean, well equipped and very comfortable. The apartments were located in a perfect spot for us - not too close to the potential noise of Macrossan Street but not so far away that a car was needed to get around. But it was the little touches that made our stay. The common area contained an ice machine, filtered water, mozzie deterrent spray, a barbecue with all the required accessories and, delightfully, a suitcase filled with holiday reading matter! We couldn't resist enjoying our drinks and nibbles in the common area most nights, followed by a short walk to dinner afterwards. One night we lit up the barbecue and filled the air with the smell of cooked steak, onions and fresh local corn on the cob. A perfect end to a beautiful day! Thank you, Ken & Colin, for your thoughtful hospitality. We will be back, I'm sure!

We stayed here on our Port Douglas visit, fantastic. The room is very nice with a kitchenette, dining table. Sitting area, and very comfy bed. Car park under the building. Short walk to 4 mile beach as well as many restaurants and shops. Convenient to tours you may desire to take. Ken and Colin were so helpful as we arrived late, and they had a ton of information. Great place to stay

Martinique on Macrossan is a wonderful property that ticks every box for a relaxing Port Douglas getaway. It's just a two minute stroll to Four Mile Beach and an equally easy walk to the restaurants and shops. We were greeted warmly by Ken and Colin and Ken escorted us to the apartment to make sure we settled in quickly, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The rooms are well appointed with a kitchenette, dining table, sitting area and a king sized bed. The attention to detail in the decoration shows that the owners genuinely care about your comfort and how you feel in the space. The parking beneath the building is a welcome bonus that takes the stress out of arriving. The lush tropical gardens with a swimming pool give the property a gorgeous, resort-like atmosphere that feels both peaceful and indulgent. We couldn't have asked for a better for a relaxing escape.

I must say it is a delight to return to Martinique on Macrossan every year. The hosts are friendly and helpful, the accommodations have everything you need and of course the location is perfect. I’m looking forward to next year already.

My elderly mother has been staying at the Martinique for about 9 years now. The owners, Colin and Ken, have always been so very kind to her and looked after her very well. This year I was able to join her for a week. The hotel is wonderful: Great situation. Lovely big rooms (2 and 3 ) with everything you could need for a week’s stay. It’s a fabulous place to stay. Highly recommend it.
