Last week, we stayed at the Grand Palladium Punta Cana Resort & Spa in Punta Cana, and it didn’t disappoint us at all. In fact, this trip was even better than the previous ones. We chose the Ocean View Junior Suite, and we absolutely loved it. The view, the jacuzzi, and the room overall were perfect. Since this was our first time visiting Punta Cana during winter, the beach wasn’t as calm or clear as before, so we spent more time at the pool. We enjoyed the daily activities, the relaxing atmosphere, and of course the ping pong table that we love everywhere we go. The food at all the restaurants was great, just like always. We visited the spa for the first time and were very impressed. My wife had the hot stones massage and she loved it. The daily and nighttime activities have improved a lot, but what truly makes this resort unforgettable is the people who work there. Ramón at Poseidon, Carlos who somehow appeared in every restaurant, and the amazing hostess Yomeri, who prepared a special birthday table for my wife and greeted us with a smile every day. Special thanks to Mrs. Martina, who decorated our room beautifully for my wife’s birthday, and to our concierge César, who went above and beyond to make this stay the best one yet. Thank you all for your kindness. And congratulations to Palladium’s Human Resources team for choosing such wonderful staff. See you next year.

Extremely Disappointing Stay – A Special Family Celebration Let Down We booked 7 rooms for 14 people for a special family holiday to celebrate our parents’ 60th wedding anniversary, so this was a very important occasion for us. Sadly, the standard of service throughout our stay was extremely disappointing and nowhere near what we expected. Housekeeping was very inconsistent, with rooms not always being cleaned properly and items in the rooms and fridges not being replenished regularly. Even something as simple as a bath plug became an issue. When we asked for a replacement, staff took one from the room next door rather than providing a new one. The service at the bars was also very poor. We repeatedly felt that English guests were overlooked, with Spanish and other nationalities being served first, even when we were already in the middle of being served. The entertainment was also very limited for English-speaking guests. We received little or no information about the hotel’s restaurants, their opening times or how they operated. The food was frequently cold or, at best, lukewarm, which was another major disappointment. To make matters worse, complimentary bottles of rum were only provided in 2 of our 7 rooms. Despite completing a form and being assured that this would be sorted, nothing was ever done. An expensive travel cushion also disappeared from one of our rooms. Again, a form was completed, but we were left without any satisfactory resolution. What was most frustrating was that we repeatedly raised issues, completed the necessary forms and were told things would be sorted, yet nothing seemed to happen. For a hotel where we had booked seven rooms for a family celebration of such significance, we expected a much higher standard of service, organisation and care. Overall, an extremely disappointing experience. It is such a shame that a holiday meant to celebrate our parents’ incredible 60 years of marriage was overshadowed by inconsistent housekeeping, poor customer service and a complete lack of follow-through when problems were reported. We would have expected far better and, based on our experience, would seriously reconsider returning

Throughout our stay, I believe greater attention should have been given to pool cleanliness and hygiene, the quality and freshness of the buffet food, and the overall level of guest service. These are essential aspects of a resort experience, especially for families traveling with children. Unfortunately, the shortcomings in these areas affected our comfort, confidence, and overall enjoyment of the vacation. We chose this resort expecting a high standard of quality and service, and we sincerely hope that management will take these concerns seriously and make the necessary improvements to ensure a better experience for future guests

Tutti Fruiti Joel was great at animating activities, 10/10 recommend! If you’re looking for a lovely resort in DR with very friendly staff, you’ve found your spot here:) Pool and lunch service were my fav. Only issue was TV in my room was not able to sync up with telephone, but that’s very minor. I would definitely come back!

The room was beautiful however we had to change rooms 3 times because the air conditioner wasn't working. It took a total of 3.5 hours of our vacation to take care of the situation. The check in and getting help was a slow nightmare. They just dont seem to really care. It was several guest at the front desk with issues, maybe thats why the front desk staff seemed to hide and not make eye contact when you walked by. There's nothing near or off the property. I wouldn't return. The bellman Armando was the brightest thing that we enjoyed. He helped us with our room move, gave us good information about shopping and was very kind and professional. He should be a manager!

Today is our last day at this beautiful resort and we're sad to go. My husband and I stayed at the TRS Turquesa which is adults only, but had free range of the entire complex. We stayed in one of the poolside rooms with ocean view, which was spotless and very nice. Room service was excellent. They would even fold our PJs into cute shapes. Best part of the stay was our personal butler, Rodny!! Very attentive, reached out every morning with a wake up message and ensuring that all our needs were met. He would handle any special requests, dinner reservations, transportation, everything!! Even surprised us with a beautiful going away on our last night with champagne and dessert, rose petals and balloons. We were really surprised when we returned to our room. Location, beach, service, amenities -- everything was wonderful. The grounds are immaculate and variety and quality of food was wonderful. Highly recommend this resort.

Everything was fantastic as far as food, options, pools, service.. however, there was so much sargassum on the beach that we were unable to play in the sand or swim in the ocean and the resort did very little to do anything about it. It was the most disappointing vacation experience, especially since we went there specifically for the beach. I wish we would have known beforehand or that the resort would have done more to reduce the amount of sargassum. The smell was also terrible, so even just sitting on the beach was unbearable. The other huge disappointment was that the front check-in area had Palladium membership sales people that were so quick to be helpful and super friendly, but we were completely unaware that they were trying to sell us something until they dropped us off at the members only facility for the supposed "resort tour". After roughly two hrs., we escaped their nearly $28k proposal (which then dropped to half when we declined) and then still before we left, they continued to try and sell us one last vacation. Truly, from our perspective, we already spend a lot of money to be on vacation and just wanted to get it started. Our kids were upset and just wanted to go to the pool and we felt we were deceived. Not the best way to start out our vacation. So beware, if you see some guys in TEAL colored shirts, they are with the Travel Club and I highly advise to smile and so no thank you.
