Love love love this Hyatt Regency property right on Shilaoren Beach! Beautifully manicured green lawns, breathtaking views, thoughtful little additions to its service and as always sumptuous buffet selection and room service menu. The frontdesk was extra gracious in giving me a late checkout perk— much appreciated! Except for the swimming pool that was closed during my stay—- this has been a delightful summer stay! I highly recommend Hyatt Regency Qingdao—whether you’re traveling solo or with the family. I’ll be back next spring/ summer!!

Booked two rooms, arrived early and they allowed early check in for one of the rooms (which is plus point). Unfortunately, service wasn’t on par - the staff who assisted us for check in agreed to arrange laundry services and simple room deco for wedding celebration, but none of them was done. I do understand that the deco service is an additional request and is subject to hotel’s discretion, but i would appreciate for a straight up ‘no’ rather than a ‘yes’ and turned out nothing was done. Laundry also wasn’t collected and by the time they managed to arrange it, it was already too late and thus i was asked to pay additional fees for the laundry. Breakfast spread is good but tasted average. Direct access to the beach is a plus point.

Great location beachfront easy access, pool and spa with steam room for guest if hotel. Nice gym and great lobby with lots of food options. Time of food is a bit different here so make sure to check in advance if your planning dinner also the property had a great restaurant that was closed for private event only night we wanted to go ! Check in advance .

This was our first time staying at a Hyatt, and it exceeded all expectations! The lobby design is absolutely splendid with its grand, high ceilings. A huge thank you to the team for arranging our two rooms early, and for the complimentary celebration cakes and refreshing food. The complimentary photography session was an amazing touch that gave us memories to last a lifetime. Our rooms were incredibly comfortable, and the staff was exceptionally responsible and attentive. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

TLDR: Great hotel, would recommend I initially received an upgrade to the regency suite as a globalist - which was very generous! The hotel was accommodating and switched me to an ocean view executive room upon request. Rooms are slightly old due to the age of the hotel but well maintained. My room also had a fancy toto bidet - there might have been some light touch ups since initial opening. The breakfast and evening executive lounge spread were good. Nothing in particular stood out but nothing was bad. The real star of this hotel is the Chinese restaurant, Donghai 88. Having visited other similarly priced local restaurants, Donghai 88 was undoubtedly the best in food quality, service, and atmosphere. They also have set menus for 1 and 2 people as well as a discount for hotel guests. The hotel feels like a mini grand Hyatt instead of a regency. Highly recommended

The hotel is as expected of a Hyatt hotel, the room that I have is big and clean with a partial seaview. The bathroom is also big and clean and has a bathtub. The breakfast is okay. I am a bit disappointed by the lack of day to day variety. But the food is generaly okay. The location is nice being right on the beach. The beach is a nice place to walk when it is low tide. There are also a couple of malls nearby or a short ride away. Overall, this is a nice place to stay but the lack of night activities like night markets, may not work for some.

Standard experience. Solid room and amenities. Location next to the beach is good and the front desk was pleasant. Only downside is that you have to collect your delivery downstairs. A lot of hotels use robots instead to deliver it to your room.

This hotel truly deserves a compliment! First of all, the hygiene is excellent — the room is clean and tidy, making for a very comfortable stay. They responded promptly to any requests and provided very attentive service. The overall experience was great. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay
