Staff is the best! The rooms and rest of the hotel are very dated and run down. Electrical Outlets not working and some switches broken too. Smoking in the non smoking areas is very common. I would not stay here again and I don’t recommend. The pic I included says a lot.

Our family received such a warm and memorable welcome from the hotel team. Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming, and our child especially loved the pink bunny—it was definitely a favorite. The breakfast was amazing, with a great variety of delicious options. During our stay, we unfortunately couldn’t get an ocean-view room because they were fully booked. However, the team kindly offered us two complimentary breakfasts as a gesture for the room upgrade, which we truly appreciated.

Our time in InterContinental Qingdao was wonderful. Everything was really great. The staff is so pleasant and polite, the service is good and breakfasts are absolutely fantastic, also the swimming pool is really nice and clean. Especially I would like to thank Floor Supervisor Mary and Floor attendant zhao dong Ling thanks to them our stay in InterContinental was amazing and we will be so happy to come back here. We have only positive memories and emotions which we will remember for a long time.

The suite we were in was spacious and we especially enjoyed the bathroom with its big bathtub. It was a welcome respite after a day of walking. The view from the rooftop bar was awesome too, coupled with delicious and interesting Arabian themed deco and cocktails, made the experience especially memorable. All in all, we were very pleased with our stay and would definitely recommend it!

The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. However, I had to change rooms twice due to a strong toilet odor and cigarette smell. Improving room freshness and maintaining a smoke-free environment would make future stays much more enjoyable.

We had a wonderful stay at InterContinental Qingdao, and we especially want to thank Samia for making our experience truly exceptional. From the moment we encountered a small issue with our initial room, Samia took full responsibility and followed through until everything was perfectly resolved. He genuinely cared about our comfort and went above and beyond to ensure we could relax and fully enjoy our stay. We are Korean and can only communicate in English, but Samia kindly assisted us in English and even used a translation app whenever necessary. No matter how small or complicated our requests were, he handled everything patiently and professionally. His dedication and sincerity truly impressed us. He also thoughtfully acknowledged our special day with warm and detailed gestures, which made our trip even more meaningful. After changing rooms, we were delighted to stay in a clean, beautiful room where we could even enjoy the laser show right from inside. It was the perfect way to end our trip in Qingdao. Samia is truly amazing, and we are so grateful for his kindness and support. If we visit Qingdao again, we will definitely choose to stay here again. Thank you, Samia, for giving us the best memories of our trip!

Our stay at InterContinental Qingdao was truly exceptional from start to finish. Prior to arrival, Julie from Guest Relations proactively reached out and provided thoughtful assistance throughout our stay. The hotel was also generous with the upgrade, moving us from a base room to a City View Suite with a fantastic view. Breakfast offered an impressive variety, from Western pastries and made-to-order omelets to congee and a live noodle station. Sitting by the window overlooking the Olympic Sailing Center with a cup of Laoshan jasmine tea made for a perfectly balanced start to the day. Although the Executive Lounge was under renovation, the hotel graciously arranged dinner at Pin Xiang Yuan buffet restaurant as a replacement, which was available throughout our stay and more than made up for it. The concierge team was equally attentive, assisting with everything from arrival door service and luggage handling to storage and delivery to our room. The Guest Relations team also stayed in touch throughout our stay, making us feel genuinely valued. We will definitely choose InterContinental Qingdao again on our next visit to Qingdao, and would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to the city.
