We spent three nights here last month and enjoyed immensely. The location is terrific and the staff are exceptional. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet - exactly as we wanted! We walked to the wharf, shopping and restaurants. Even our tour pick ups were close by. So convenient. Upon returning home, I realized I was missing a piece of jewelry. In a panic, I emailed the hotel and they responded saying they would look into it. The next day they emailed me saying they found it!!!!!! Restored my faith in humanity! They worked with me to return it and I have to say how appreciative I am for the terrific people who work there! So highly recommend this hotel!

I strongly recommend that hotel. Yes, it is overpriced but it is the average value in Reykjavik as well. Breakfast is perfect and the staff is kind.

Very nice, modern hotel. Great location. Very close to Bus stop #1 by City Hall, which was convenient for the tour bus excursions we booked and the Flybus from the airport. Nice breakfast buffet in the morning. Staff was very helpful - they helped us book an excursion and the taxi back to the airport. Location was great for walking around Reykjavik. Highly recommend!

I stayed here one night on an extended layover. I chose it based on the reviews and walkability. As advertised, you are literally steps away from the hopping downtown area. Surprisingly, even though I had a room on the street side it was quiet. Yes, if you’re noise sensitive you will occasionally hear voices and cars, but to me it was muted and not a distraction. I slept great. The check in was very pleasant. They have an on site bar, and breakfast as an add on, but I didn’t try those. The room was very clean, well maintained, and spacious by European standards. They had adequate outlets and nice building cabinetry. I would gladly stay here again,

This hotel was perfect for our stay in Reykjavik. The location was central to all restaurants and attractions. It was a few minutes walk to good restaurants and shopping. The hotel has a cozy atmosphere and is on the oldest street in Reykjavik. There is a lovely little park across the street and a wonderful history museum literally in the basement. The bus stop is a block away. We found the hotel very clean and quiet with friendly and very helpful staff. There is a full breakfast that can be included with your room rate and is very good. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a wonderful hotel - centrally located in Reykjavik. The room was very nice and the staff were truly wonderful. They suggested and arranged an itinerary for me as a first time visitor. I wanted an actual hotel with staff rather than a guest house/apartment for this visit - and I was very pleased with the Centrum. and the breakfast buffet was great!

Excellent location close to bus stop eateries and many of Reykjavik 's attractions. Room clean and comfortable well appointed. Shower cubicle a little small. Breakfast excellent. Staff extremely pleasant and very helpful. Would recommend to anyone visiting Reykjavik and Iceland. A bit of noise outside from bikers in the local skate park.

1) The reception staff is friendly and pleasant. They helped us store our bags when we arrived early and then made efforts to get us checked in early. 2) The rooms feel a bit dated and in need of some updates and repair. Our room safe was broken. The room has no climate control and feels stuffy and hot. The hallway to the room also has an overwhelming odor that feels like it needs some ventilation. 3) They have some weird rules here. The fitness center is locked. They won’t unlock it until 7am. Why? Who knows? If you want to get a workout in before heading out for the day forget about it. The fitness center and the equipment they have is good and was part of the draw for us but now it is unusable as we need to head out early. I would absolutely have chosen a different hotel had these odd rules been made clear prior to booking.
