We stayed here for the final two days of our trip after spending one night somewhere else in Reykjavik, going out on a tour, and returning. This was by far the nicest of all the hotels - we had a nice junior suite that was really spacious and luxurious, beds were wonderful, interior of the hotel and stairwell was beautiful, and slept like a rock! So glad we ended our trip here. Check-in was easy, they graciously gave us until noon to check out, and the front desk staff were wonderful. Location can't be beat - in an older, quiet part of town near tons and shopping and dining and just minutes from Harpa and the main shopping district. Two issues: -Our shower was FILTHY. I noticed the room strongly smelled of pee and then followed my nose around and found that the back of the shower was BLACK in between the tiles, when they got wet, pieces broke off. I can only assume it was dried pee. EWWWWWWWW. For $550+ a night - not happy. Especially after I had showered BAREFOOT already. Super gross. Notified management upon check-out and had a video to show them - they just basically said "thanks for letting us know". -I asked for a cab to the airport and asked for the set price - was quoted approx. 23,000 but was charged 31,800 upon arrival. I complained to the front desk and they had the cab company refund me for the overage. Still, not good. I love Radisson Blu hotels and have never had a problem with them in Europe - they will continue to be a go to for us.

Amazing breakfast experience at Radisson Blu 1919! The breakfast crew especially Angel, Charles, Kim and Takeshi was absolutely awesome—friendly, welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help. They made us feel comfortable every morning and always greeted us with a smile. The food was great, but what really stood out was the excellent service and positive attitude of the entire team. Their hospitality made our stay in Iceland even more enjoyable and memorable. Thank you to the whole breakfast crew for taking such great care of us. You guys are the best! Highly recommended!

Rooms are specious and clean . Good location near from restaurants , bars and to visit the city by walk .

Everything was so nice about my stay here. Hotel has a perfect location in the city and you can walk to almost everywhere. Luca at the front desk was so nice and kind. Katrin at breakfast was very hospitable and taking care of guests always with smile. I will be back here for sure. 🤞🙏

We had a very enjoyable stay at Radisson Blu 1919 Hotel Reykjavík. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout, the rooms were comfortable and the location was excellent. It is within easy walking distance of many attractions, restaurants and the harbour. The hotel also has a good gym. The only funny issue was the pull up bar, where the ceiling and bar little too close, so we kept hitting our heads during pull ups! The main challenge was parking. It is manageable, but during our visit there were roadworks nearby which made driving to the hotel a little confusing. Apart from that, everything was great and we would happily stay here again. Highly recommended.

This review is not actually about the hotel itself, but about an exceptional person who works there: Sindri Snor Hjaltalin. My family and I were staying in a nearby holiday rental apartment when we found ourselves locked out due to a key issue. While we waited for our apartment manager to bring the correct key, Sindri went above and beyond to help us, despite us not even being guests of the hotel at the time. He treated us with incredible kindness, generosity, and genuine care during what could have been a very stressful situation. His willingness to help complete strangers, without hesitation, speaks volumes about his character. He made us feel welcome, comfortable, and supported when we needed it most. In a world where people are often too busy to stop and help, Sindri reminded us that there are still truly good-hearted people who make a positive difference in the lives of others. His professionalism and compassion left a lasting impression on our family, and we are deeply grateful for everything he did for us. Thank you, Sindri. People like you make this world a better place. Stayed for a couple of nights at the Radisson Blu 1919 before embarking on a circle Iceland cruise. The hotel was great. It was comfortable and clean, and the staff was engaging and extremely helpful. The location is great, within walking distance of most of what you'd want to see. If you are embarking on a small ship, you could walk to the pier where you board. We chose not to due to luggage constraints. I would stay there again if going back to Iceland, no question about it.

Stayed four nights in August. Our room was very clean and well-kept. Hallways clean and quick elevator service. Windows open at night for fresh air. There was some street noise but no bars on our side street. A friend stayed at another hotel close by and their room overlooked a noisy Irish pub. We were on the backside of the hotel on 4th floor and looked like an office across the street. The location is perfect. The famous hotdog stand half a block one way and a location of the famous cinnamon roll and a market half a block the other way. Easy walk to the pedestrian shopping streets. Will definitely stay here next trip to Reykjavik
