We had a wonderful and peaceful stay at this beautiful hotel. The staff were incredibly warm, kind, and welcoming. The location is truly dreamy, surrounded by untouched nature and charming vintage décor. Every corner of the hotel is beautiful and relaxing. The pool was clean and chlorine-free, the breakfast was good, and our room was beautifully decorated in a vintage style with a comfortable bed and a safe box. A perfect place for a peaceful getaway. We would definitely come back

What an incredible experience! We travel quite a lot and stay in many hotels, but it had been a very long time since we experienced such genuine warmth, kindness, and hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed. Every request was taken care of with attention and care — from preparing our room for our wedding anniversary to arranging a late check-out. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. The hotel itself is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. The grounds are immaculate, peacocks wander freely around the property, and at night the sky is filled with more stars than we’ve seen in a long time. The room was wonderful, the bed incredibly comfortable, and the towels were honestly some of the softest we’ve ever experienced in a hotel! Most importantly, this place has a soul. It is one of those rare hotels where you feel genuinely cared for and where every detail is designed to help you relax and enjoy the moment. Thank you to the entire team for making our anniversary unforgettable. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back. ❤️

The location is absolutely gorgeous, I felt like family, the staff very kind and attentive. It is a corner of heaven that I highly recommend, it is a location where you can relax and get rid of everyday stress. The peacocks are wonderful, they walk quietly and are not aggressive. They have horses, 2 swimming pools, a restaurant. Ronda is 5 km away. Love this place,thank you for all kindness!

We spent several unforgettable days at this hotel celebrating our wedding anniversary, and we can honestly say that it is one of the most charming and welcoming places we have ever stayed. We travel a lot and have stayed in many different hotels around the world, but it had been a very long time since we experienced such warm, genuine, and caring hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we felt as though the team had been looking forward to our visit. Every request was met with incredible attention, kindness, and care. Before our arrival, we asked if our room could be prepared for our anniversary and also inquired about the possibility of a late check-out. Every single request was fulfilled even better than we had hoped. A very special thank you goes to the lovely lady who welcomed us. Her kindness and attentiveness truly touched us. After a long drive, I was feeling quite unwell from motion sickness, and she discreetly offered assistance, regularly checked on how I was feeling, and did everything possible to make us comfortable. Such genuine care is incredibly rare to find these days. Our room was absolutely beautiful—comfortable, elegant, and thoughtfully designed down to the smallest detail. At our request, the staff effortlessly arranged an in-room massage, which made our stay even more special. They also took the time to explain everything about the hotel, including breakfast and dinner arrangements, and were always available whenever we needed assistance. The hotel grounds deserve special praise. Everything is impeccably maintained, creating an atmosphere of complete peace and relaxation. Peacocks roam freely around the property, adding a unique sense of charm and harmony with nature. The hotel is located away from the noise and distractions of the city, making it wonderfully quiet and peaceful. At night, the sky is simply breathtaking. The stars seem endless, and it feels as though you can see every single one of them. It is one of those rare places where you can truly disconnect from everyday life and simply enjoy the moment. We would also like to mention the incredibly comfortable pillows, luxurious bed linen, and the softest towels we have ever experienced in any hotel. Some people may consider these small details, but for us they make all the difference and create a true feeling of comfort and care. We felt so relaxed and enjoyed our stay so much that we genuinely did not want to leave. If work had not been waiting for us the following day, we would have happily extended our stay for several more days. Our heartfelt thanks go to the hotel manager and the entire team for providing such exceptional service, genuine hospitality, attention to detail, and the wonderful atmosphere you create for your guests. We chose Pilares de Ronda after being drawn in by its social media presence, which portrays it as a charming, traditional country hotel with horses in the spectacular setting of Ronda. Unfortunately, the reality is quite different. The rooms are decorated in a style that bears no resemblance to the rustic Andalusian character you would expect. Some of the furniture feels dated and rather tasteless, with very little warmth or charm. The overall experience lacked soul. Apart from access to the swimming pool and a solitary horse standing in a small paddock under the sun, seemingly there for guests to photograph, there was very little to enjoy or experience. The food was disappointing, and the service felt indifferent and impersonal. There was no sense of genuine hospitality or passion. This hotel has enormous potential and could be truly beautiful, but it seems determined not to live up to it. We chose it because of its carefully curated image on social media and because it was recommended to us in Marbella. In hindsight, there are many far better places to stay in the area.

As previous reviews have stated, a peaceful and tranquil stay for two nights. After the main gates, and making our way along the drive through the grounds towards reception, Sara the receptionist came out to personally greet us and go through the check in. She gave us tips to parking in Ronda(avoiding the cameras for the bridge) and made herself available if we needed her. Our room (4) was basic but comfortable. It was slightly out of season so all the water features in the grounds were being maintained for the high season. We can't comment on the dining as we didn't have breakfast and the evening dining was only at weekends. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Amazing place in the middle of the countryside with animals around. It’s peaceful and perfect if it’s what you’re looking for. We wanted some quiet and it’s what we got. Nice breakfast too.

The property is old, run down and severely understaffed. The rooms, allegedly for 2 adults and 2 children were so tiny, that we could not move around without climbing over our luggage. The breakfast was probably the worst we ever had in Europe, old, hard bread, left over vegetables, cold coffee and stale cookies. They charged 22 Euros pp for the worst breakfast we ever had. The breakfast lady was mean, looked overworked and annoyed and when I asked for a second cup of coffee, she rolled her eyes and acted like I had asked her for money. You could not help yourself to coffee, she had to give it to you. They also charged us 10 Euros for the use of utensils!! I have NEVER seen that in my decades of traveling. We had a severe ant infestation, they had to change our room. When I first discovered the severe infestation, thousands of ants coming from behind the microwave, there was no one at front desk, office was closed for hours. I left numerous messages on the number provided before someone called me back. The main swimming pool had a snake in the pool for 2 days and water is ice cold. Peacocks sound nice in writing, but I never knew HOW LOUD they are, and they left human sized feces all over the property that never gets cleaned up. You need earplugs if you want to relax. There are much better places near Ronda, this one looks and sounds much better in photos than it actually is.
