Large room with comfortable beds. Good sized bathroom and outdoor spa excellent despite the rain. Close to busstop and just across the road from Woolies and various eateries. Close to Skyline (a must do) and Mitai Maori Village. Very helpful staff. Great value for money. Would be very happy to stay here again.

We had a good two night stay at the Newina. Rooms were clean and modern. Bathroom was also a decent size. Beds were comfortable and aircon worked well. A few points for improvement- the kitchen was missing a few things such as a colander/ sieve, scissors, grater and bread knife. Kitchen bin was tiny which was an issue. Unfortunately our toilet also leaked. A smart TV would be a welcome addition. The location was great.

Absolutely loved this place. The room was spotless and very well set up, with plenty of space to relax. Everything felt clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. The spa pool was a real bonus super relaxing and perfect for switching off. Overall, it’s a great place to stay: spacious, well equipped, and clearly well maintained. Would definitely give it five stars and come back again.

Newina Rotorua is a modern and well-maintained accommodation option located in the Fairy Springs area of Rotorua, New Zealand. It is one of the newer properties in the city and has quickly gained a strong reputation among travellers for its cleanliness, comfort, and convenient location. The hotel offers a range of studio and family-style rooms, many of which include kitchenettes, spa baths, or private spa pools, making it suitable for both short stays and longer visits. One of the biggest highlights of Newina Rotorua is the cleanliness and modern design of the rooms. Guests frequently mention that the rooms feel fresh, spacious, and newly renovated, with comfortable beds and well-equipped bathrooms. Facilities such as underfloor heating, kitchen amenities, and quality furnishings add to the overall comfort. The heated swimming pool and spa options are also popular features, especially after a day of exploring Rotorua’s geothermal attractions. The location is another strong advantage. Newina is situated close to major attractions such as Skyline Rotorua, Mitai Māori Village, and various adventure parks, all within a short drive. It is also conveniently located near supermarkets, fast food outlets, and fuel stations, making it practical for travellers who prefer easy access to essentials. However, some guests have noted a few downsides. Being close to a main road, certain rooms can experience traffic noise, especially at night. There have also been occasional comments about front desk service being inconsistent or check-in delays. Despite this, most visitors report that staff are friendly and helpful overall. Overall, Newina Rotorua offers excellent value for money with its modern rooms, strong facilities, and convenient location. It is especially well-suited for families, couples, and travellers looking for a comfortable and contemporary stay in Rotorua without paying luxury hotel prices. For many guests, it is a place they would happily return to on future visits.
