We recently celebrated our anniversary at VR Rotorua Lake Resort, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The resort's pristine waterfront location on the shores of Lake Rotoiti offers breathtaking views, peace, and serenity away from the hustle and bustle of central Rotorua. The grounds are beautiful, spacious, and equipped with fantastic amenities, including lawn tennis, kayak hire, ample parking, and comfortable modern rooms. Our upgraded executive Room was clean, spacious, and extremely comfortable, making it the perfect place to relax and celebrate. The welcome basket was a lovely touch, and the late checkout allowed us to make the most of our stay. The buffet breakfast was exceptional, with a wide variety of options including hot cooked dishes, fresh fruit, cereals, juices, and delicious fresh coffee. We also enjoyed dining at The Grill, where the food and service were outstanding. What truly made our stay special was the exceptional customer service. Every staff member was friendly, professional, and welcoming. A special thank you goes to Vibha and Suditi, who went above and beyond to make our anniversary memorable. Their kindness, attention to detail, and genuine care made us feel incredibly valued and appreciated. VR Rotorua Lake Resort is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and relaxing lakeside escape with outstanding hospitality. We highly recommend it and look forward to returning in the future. Thank you to the entire team for making our anniversary so special. Tom & Alita Mayne Valda-M Fishing Charters TAURANGA

We had an amazing two night stay at VR Rotorua Lake Resort. The king room was spacious, cozy, warm in the middle of winter, and had a beautiful lake view. We enjoyed using the spa pool and sauna, all the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the chicken tandoori, and filet mignon from the hotel restaurant were cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend and return for another stay in the future.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lovely lakeside stay We stayed here last weekend for one night and really enjoyed our time. The motel is in a beautiful spot right by the lake, which makes the whole place feel calm and relaxing. The staff were amazing, very friendly and welcoming, and made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. We also had breakfast in the morning and it was delicious, fresh, and nicely prepared. Overall, the service was excellent and everything felt easy and well looked after. It was a short stay but a very pleasant one, and we would happily stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful lakeside break.

I had an exceptional stay at VR ROTORUA from start to finish. The staff were warm, professional, and genuinely attentive, making check-in smooth , Special thanks to Mr Vivek , GM , for being such welcoming when i met him there . My room was spotless, beautifully maintained, and very comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was especially comfortable, and the room was quiet, allowing for a great night’s sleep. Housekeeping did an excellent job each day, keeping everything fresh and tidy. The hotel’s facilities were outstanding, including a well-equipped Spa and pool. Breakfast was another highlight—fresh, varied, and high quality, with plenty of options to suit different tastes. The location was also ideal, close to key attractions and transport, making it easy to get around. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations in every way. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and excellent service.

On entering The entire place smelt of the cleaning solution used in public toilets . Carpets unvacumed . We got the grab one voucher like many others - the welcome platter included soggy crackers and old fruit lol . The room we had had windows and curtains covered in black mould - in which I cleaned myself as we had our baby with us . Good things were the view , comfy bed & Manager Nikhil was nice and catered to extra needs and us leaving items behind and preparing food outside of kitchen hours . The entire place is dated and clearly has seen better days . When we got there we were the ONLY ones there so I straight away thought - red flag . This was the only time I didn’t read reviews before booking somewhere - I will never be forgetting again ! It is not really in Rotorua either - I hated the whindy drive there ( got car sick) .
