Location....amazing. Cannot ask for a more central place to stay. Staff....amazing. The 2 receptionist were very friendly and one of them gave us 3 precious places where to have dinner. |Hotel itself...OMG....clearly missing a LOT of maintenance: Doors not closing properly, AC full of dust and noisy, room walls and floor full of marks, stained towels. On a corridor a completely loose AC switch. The overall feeling is that I was visiting my grandmas house from the past century. What a shame even for the amazing low budget price

The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The walls are paper-thin, the bed feels like it hasn’t been updated in 50 years, and it’s incredibly uncomfortable (I actually have back pain because of it). The overall comfort is just unacceptable. The toilet was leaking all night, I literally had to stop the water myself just to get some sleep. Overpriced for what you get. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere decent.

The bedsheets had stains on them. It was on the top floor and there was no elevator There were very few power outlets in the room.

If you like to be claustrofobic room type its great.. its at least clean and you get a bottleneck of water

The bathroom had a horrible smell and the chair near the working table was super dirty. The floor was not properly clean.

Travelled to Salamanca, absolutely beautiful town on a motorbike trip. 9 bikes 12 people. We were booked in to Hotel Mercado, great location but that's about all it had going for it! Charged 200 euro for parking, locked us out of our rooms after the 1st night, breakfast was supposed to be provided at a nearby Cafe...nope! |Dirty pillows, air conditioners poorly worked some rooms didn't even have AC. Bed was hard. No glasses to drink... the Town was simply stunning but glad to check out of this hotel.|Forgot to mention they stuffed our rooms ...couples had single beds singles had doubles so there was a lot of moving baggage.|Not sure how they got 2 stars...

Not recommended. No air conditioning in the rooms (in one of the hottest cities in Spain mind you) was here in July and the room was hot as hell. Had a fan, didn't help. The bed is the worst I slept in so far, all my body hurt afterwards. With stiff neck, shoulders & back. Just an awful experience really. There is a self check in system, where you do everything online and use your phone to open the doors of the hotel - which is nice - thing is, to power up the room you'll need a good old plastic card... so all the self check in is just a waste of time because you still have to receive a plastic room key from the receptionist. Which is available via an indirect call to costumer service All in all; below par. I slept in roadside motels here in Spain which were a better experience than this place. Do yourself a favour and find someplace else.

Let's start by the beginning: we arrived and were greeted by a young man who was the nicest ever! Very professional, friendly and helpful. When we got to the room we were amazed by the size of the bed, it could fit a whole family! And wow oh wow, I have never been hugged by a God, but I'm sure it feels just like laying on that bed. Describing that bed as "comfortable" almost feels like an insult, like I'm being disrespectful to the bed. I don't know what kind of magic they do at the hotel but I can assure you I have never slept that well in my entire life. I will always be grateful for those two nights with that bed, that comforter, that pillow... The real dream team of dreams. I have to confess that now that I'm back home, when I lay down on my bed at night, I pretend I'm still in Hotel Mercado being rocked by that bed.
