Great hotel for your stay in Salzburg, ideally you have a car since the centre and the highway are both an easy 10 minute drive away. However the hotel also offers free public transport during your stay, and with a bus stop just outside the hotel this is very convenient. Rooms are very spacious, the outside terrace was most definitely welcome with great sunrise views, decent breakfast selection, and last but not least the sofa bed was really comfortable which definitely helped for a good night sleep.

Excellent hotel in the suburbs of Salzburg. Very friendly staff, very helpful, lovely room and breakfast. You get a voucher for free transport and the bus stop is right outside the hotel. Highly recommend.

Sound of Music! We picked this spot as our jumping off point for a Sound of Music stay, visiting iconic (to us) spots used in the movie. Perfect!! Hotel Andra was everything we hoped for and more. Centrally located and walkable to everywhere we wanted to go. And we learned in Salzburg public transit is free when you show your hotel booking voucher since you pay a transit tax when you book. So, if your plans require unwalkable distances, use their super easy and convenient transit system. If you have a usb dongle to utilize your downloads or streaming, you’ll be glad.. unless you’re fluent in German. All in all we were super happy with Hotel Andrä. Jamie and Arlä Holliday July 2026

I came to this hotel for a business trip. After a long journey, I arrived to check in at around 4:30 PM. The receptionist (blonde, curly hair; sorry, I don't know your name, but I'm pretty sure you'll recognize yourself) told me there was an issue with my booking (a system problem or just an excuse... I guess I'll never know). Apparently, I was booked only for the 14th, even though my reservation document clearly stated 13th - 15th. I waited, and when she came back, she told me that everything was fully booked and that the only option available was an apartment that looked like social housing (which already seemed sketchy...). Imagine my surprise when I saw the apartment: it was dirty and looked as though someone had been sleeping there just a few minutes earlier. The receptionist seemed perfectly happy to show me a dirty apartment and expected me to stay there. What makes the situation even more questionable is that a colleague of mine experienced the same issue with the booking and was accommodated in an apartment/hotel next to the main hotel. So, apparently, alternative rooms were available after all? It makes me wonder why I was told that everything was fully booked and why I was given such an unacceptable accommodation in the first place. I had to call the company I work for to explain the whole situation. Shortly afterwards, the hotel received a call, and, weirdly enough, they asked me what the complaint was about (videos and photos attached). I explained that the situation was unacceptable and that the apartment was not clean enough for me to sleep in. They apparently cleaned it (although the carpet was still dirty, but I guess that's their definition of clean), and I finally managed to get into the apartment at around 7:30 PM. The next morning, I was moved to a room in the actual hotel. To my surprise (although I probably shouldn't have been surprised by that point) the room was dirty too. There was a smashed mosquito on the dirty wall, hair (and probably body hair) on the mattress, pillow, and blanket, and the carpet. I complained about all of this again when checking out. And honestly? They seem to not care at all. I genuinely don't know whether it was my face or my family name that was the problem... Maybe, as a three-star hotel, you should review the definition of cleanliness and hospitality. Saying sorry and then repeating the same "mistake" makes it hard to believe it was a mistake in the first place. And no, offering free breakfast, pizza, and some Kinder biscuits is not a REAL apology. I put one star because it's the lowest...I will not be coming back of course, and I absolutely don't recommend this hotel.

We really liked the hotel. The room was a good size, decent air-conditioning and a great shower.. tea and coffee was lacking but being English, we brought out own of course! Hotel staff were friendly, we had a beer in the garden terrace. I would come here again, 20 min walk to the old town.

Very well situated - halfway between the airport and the old town. Bus stop is just out of the hotel (public transport is free for registered tourists - included in the city tax). English-speaking personnel. Good rooms (unless you room is next to the chambermaid's storage - then you'll get woken up really early :)).

Hotel max70 great Location and great fair prices . 8 min drive to airport by taxi . 15 mim drive to Salzburg main station . Rooms spotless clean and almost looked brand new . Shower room, toilet so clean. Bed so comfortable. Staff friendly and very helpful . Even let me check out late at 1pm at a small cost of 30 euros which is about £25 sterling . Extra tea milk for room provided 👍🏻. I’d definitely stay here again . P.s bakery across the road 👌 fresh ! Thanks again for stay . Dom 👍🏻🙏🏻
