There is nowhere in the world quite like Hotel Goldgasse. The location is absolutely unbeatable, right in the heart of Salzburg's Old Town. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. It was, without question, the most memorable hotel check-in experience I've ever had. Every member of the staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. The rooms were immaculate, surprisingly spacious (even by American standards), and beautifully appointed with everything we needed. You can tell this is a hotel that takes tremendous pride in every detail. The woman who runs the hotel works incredibly hard and is one of the most delightful people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. During the start of the Salzburg Festival, when taxis were in high demand, she went above and beyond to help us secure one for our departure. That level of personal care is something you simply don't find very often. One piece of advice: add the breakfast. It's not inexpensive, but it's an absolute treat and well worth it. I cannot recommend Hotel Goldgasse highly enough. If we ever return to Salzburg, there is no question where we'll stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Goldglasse. It is a very small hotel. There is no lobby just a little room where we checked in by a delightful lady (sorry I didn't catch her name). She offered us a glass of sparkling wine or tea and then showed us to our room. The room was very spacious with a separate seating area. The bathroom was clean, bright and modern and the shower was great. The little details sometimes make or break a hotel stay for me and there was such great attention to detail here. There were luxury feeling products in the bathroom including conditioner and body lotion which you often don't get. There was a kettle as well as a high quality coffee maker. Even the hairdryer was of a much better standard than normal hotel hairdryers. The bed was very comfortable. The location is great - right in the old town and not more than 10 mins walk from all the main sights. Lovely bakery at the end of the road (turn right out of the hotel). Overall a great little hotel that I would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful 5 days at the hotel in June. Ulrike is the perfect hostess, greeting us with a warm welcome on arrival and providing help and advice throughout our stay. The restaurant is excellent (Michelin recommended), and the breakfasts were generous with efficient service provided by Giuseppina with a smile. The hotel is situated on a narrow lane with no vehicular traffic; it's a quiet location within walking distance of most sites and shopping. Excellent in all aspects.

This is an absolutely perfect hotel. The location is ideal and the rooms are spacious and modern, with some of the features of the historical building beautifully preserved. The water pressure is excellent, the breakfast is delicious, I could go on and on, with only good things to say about this hotel. Finally, thank you Ulrike for making us feel so at home!

Ulrike, the host is amazing! This boutique is in the old town of Salzburg and highly walkable for the museums, concerts, shopping and restaurants. The mini bar is included and has the delightful Austrian ‘burrito style’ duvet bedding. You feel like a local when staying here. It is fresh and incredibly maintained.

I rarely write reviews but felt that our visit to Hotel Goldgasse deserved one. We recently had the privilege of staying at this hotel. Everything about our stay was outstanding. The location of the hotel is in the old town city centre which is perfect and provides easy access to historic sites and activities in Salzburg including the Sound of Music Tour. The rooms were nice and very clean. The restaurant provided both delicious food and excellent service. The staff was friendly, courteous and accommodating. Selena was very helpful with directions, information and reservations. The best part of our visit was meeting Ulrike. She is a treasure! She was warm, friendly, helpful and went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable and stress free. I can’t recommend the Hotel Goldgasse and its staff highly enough. Would definitely stay here when returning to Salzberg.

Can't say enough good things about this Hotel. We stayed here for 3 nights and we could have stayed another week. Ulrike greeted us with Champagne and a smile. She was so lovely and helped us with everything we needed from restaurant recommendations, to where we could do laundry. Thanks for a beautiful stay and we will return soon Brian and Amy

Extraordinary reception who is very helpful and clear with directions. Sparking clean room, plenty of space and really central location. We arrived on a hot humid summer day, I found the aircon was strong and very comfortable. Oh and don't underestimate the capsule coffee, ja, it is sehr gut! I wouldn't look elsewhere.
