The Bay Club Hotel & Marina offers a high-end quality stay at a very reasonable price. The property is bright, clean, and beautifully landscaped. Great views of San Diego across the bay, especially at night, especially from a second floor room. If you’re in the first level, just walk across the street and enjoy and evening stroll down the bay front. Speaking of rooms, our single king room was very spacious and was cleaned daily. The small amenities (microwave and refrigerator) made big difference as we were able to bring our delicious leftover pasta dishes from Little Italy back to our room to enjoy the following day. While the Bay Club Grill offers delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus, you are also within walking distance of several nice dining options around the Shelter Island area. Overall, I would highly recommend this property for anyone considering staying in San Diego for any length of time.

I wish I had the name of the person who checked me and was working all weekend. He made our stay easy and successful. I had three rooms for my family. My 94 year old mother couldn't get up into the bed (she is very short) so they lowered the bed by removing the spring. The marina view was great. Other than not being wild about the wooden floors everything else was great

The hotel is very clean. The staff is very friendly. My husband and I plan to return to this hotel when we visit SD. There was a power outage for 24 hours and the staff was WONDERFUL. Very patient and very helpful. Seriously one of the best if not THE best hotel I have ever stayed at.

My son and I stayed here for two days beginning July 15th. We came to San Diego to visit friends. This place was perfect for us. There were other families there so he had someone to play with in the pool. We ate at the hotel restaurant twice one time for dinner and on our last morning we had breakfast at the pool. The staff was very helpful and the service was fantastic.

Well organized from top to bottom, and very accommodating staff. That includes a superb bartender in the quaint bar/restaurant on site. They have a promotional thing called the "Commodore's Club" for 10% discounts and special offerings for members. It's free! The room was exactly as advertised. Second floor looking out over the marina. Pricing was very fair, in our opinion. The parking is subterranean and very easy to use...wide parking spaces, close to the elevators. We've stayed in MANY more expensive places in San Diego. Regardless of price, this is one of the best

Had a nice stay over Memorial Day weekend. Great location and the lobby is beautiful. My room was clean,spacious and the main dwelling area was updated nicely. The bathroom could use some updating but appreciated how clean it was. Did not like that the shampoo and body wash could be opened by previous guests. Would probably bring my own next time. The coffeemaker (with Starbucks coffee- yum!), microwave and mini fridge were in the bathroom area which was odd since there was plenty of empty space in the room. The bed was comfortable and I did not find the walls thin as some other reviews stated. I chose a bay view room and feel it should have been disclosed I was getting the smallest balcony (barely room for a chair). It was fine though since I was traveling alone. Most of the other rooms had huge balconies. The front desk staff were friendly but was a little frustrated that the housekeeper did not speak English so I could not communicate with her. Overall it was a nice stay and would stay there again.

Lovely location and good setting for the hotel. But totally spoilt by attitude of some staff. Not informed previously about parking charges. Staff kept referring we had booked through third party and appeared to treat us differently because of this. Paid for room with a view of the bay. Coincidentally we were placed in one of the few rooms where view was totally blocked by a palm tree. Had to keep requesting the room be cleaned which appeared to cause tension. Overall, staff attitude and approach spoilt visit. See below photo of view of bay.
