My husband and I just stayed 5 days here and had a great experience. The staff is very kind, welcoming, and helpful. We had excellent front desk service with Angelo and Rosemary. We had breakfast each morning at the Bistro with Dominique, Betty, and Adrian provided great care and service. Then there was Mark and Adrian at he bar who made our evenings enjoyable and relaxing with great company and drinks. An excellent time overall. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.

We came here for a youth baseball tournament, and the hotel served that purpose fine. Several elevators were broken, but we were on the 2nd floor, so that wasn't a huge deal. They gave us one key for our room and when we asked for a second one, we were cheerfully told that, basically, they don't have enough keys, so they give you one in the hopes you don't ask for two. That said, they gave us a second one. Our TV was not working, and they sent a very sweet person up to fix it. Again, cheerful. We ate dinner at the bar the first night. The bartender was wonderful, also cheerful, and the food was surprisingly delicious. The second night, the bar was in utter chaos, with several intensely happy drunk people at the bar. Turns out, the bartender left for vacation the same day the hotel fired their beverage manager, so their solution was to put a front desk worker who'd never tended bar before behind the bar, which had not been resupplied very well. This woman, Taylor, is now my hero. Everyone at the bar helped her figure out to make drinks, and her good humor made everything about the crazy situation absolutely fun. Balance was restored on the 3rd night, because another actual bartender was working, and he, too, was cheerful and great. Our room itself was directly above the kitchen, so we were woken by this incredibly strong smell of bacon very early every morning. I am here to tell you this: bacon is not a good bedroom smell. It just is not. Location is in a corporate zone, but we did find a delightful coffee shop nearby called Park Social, and it was next to a city park. Otherwise, not really a fun area, though close by is an area with tons of delightful Asian restaurants. Unfortunately, nothing is really walkable, except the coffee shop. To sum things up: the hotel itself really struggles with being a hotel, but the staff is very cheerful about working in such a weird place, so that made it all good.

The room was just average. Not really worth the high price. TV in the room was very dim. Bed is very firm. Pillows are very slim. Breakfast is not included. They also advertise ev charging stations. I even called to confirm. They do have plenty, about 10. What they don't tell you is that they only work with Teslas. They said that wasn't the case, but I watched 2 other guests with the same problem. Only the Teslas could charge. They said there was nothing they could do as it is ran by a third party. You also have to pay extra for parking, which is such a cash grab. Just include it in the price so you can compare the total cost.

I had an excellent stay at Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Central, and I would like to recognize Angelo for his outstanding customer service. From the moment I arrived, Angelo was welcoming, professional, and genuinely helpful. He took the time to make sure all my needs were taken care of and made the check-in process smooth and enjoyable. His positive attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to go the extra mile truly stood out. Employees like Angelo make a significant difference in the guest experience, and he is a great representative of the hotel. We stayed at this hotel for a soccer showcase. I was greeted as a Bonvoy Loyalty member like I was a king! The room was spacious and clean with a great view of the pool with a balcony. We had all the amenities we needed being away from home for 4 days The breakfast that was served for our showcase was always fresh and hot! The staff was INCREDIBLE! From the warm friendly genuine greeting to every single time I walked in the door how sincere they were! Anything we needed we got it quickly and correctly! GREAT staff!!!

Everytime I come here its a fantastic experience. Truly the best, and I mean the greatest. Possibly of all time, NO, certainly of all time. Yes. This is definitely one of the best, I am going to have to send someone here a thank you card because they work so hard you know, it really is quite amazing the amount they do for people. The staff is phenomenal, the real estate and property is tremendous, I mean come on you can't get any better than the accessibility of where it is at in terms of the location it is located at right now.

Decent hotel for the money. We like it for the common areas such as the lobby and lounge area with more than ample seating. The bar and happy hour food offerings are nice and the pool area is clean and spacious. The staff is friendly, efficient and accommodating. There is a small market in the lobby which is convenient and the exercise room was a plus. The hotel is showing its age though and needs refreshing. The bathrooms separate vanity and shower areas are in need of updating and the elevators are so slow. Plus the inspection dates posted in them expired in May, it is now September. The side and rear access doors which are operated by key cards do not work leaving only the front entrance the only way in which forces many to park around the side of the building due to limited parking in front and the side parking areas are dimly lit. We did see an employee attempting to fix one of the rear doors one morning and we tried to use it later in the day but it wouldn’t open. We reported it to the front desk on a couple of occasions. It is obvious they are not investing money at this location and are letting it deteriorate.

We had such a great stay! Everyone was welcoming, but I especially want to recognize Angelo. He was genuinely kind and friendly to our whole family. He gave my daughter and niece little trinkets, which was such a sweet gesture and absolutely made their day. We ended up deciding to extend our stay, and Angelo made the entire process seamless and stress-free. He was helpful, professional, and made sure everything was taken care of without any hassle. It’s the little things that make a stay memorable, and Angelo’s kindness really stood out to us. He made us feel truly welcome and taken care of. Thank you, Angelo, for making our stay even better! We’ll definitely be back.
