Fantastic stay in a perfect location with an exceptional team! The hotel is right across the street from the beach—and its adorable sea lions—and a short walk or quick golf cart shuttle ride into town. Shuttle to dinner, easy walk back to the hotel. The breakfast was fresh and varied, and the outdoor seating area was lovely. Just beware of the seagulls (as the hotel makes clear) - they really do stalk your food if you step away for a second! I know, one stole my coffee creamer :-0|Our room had a Keurig coffee maker with quality pods, they have complimentary Kirklnad water readily available. We did experience a few minor maintenance issues during our stay. While most were fixed promptly, one went unresolved. I’d suggest management do a quick walkthrough of the rooms between guests to ensure everything is in good condition and working perfectly.|A HUGE thank you to the incredible staff who made our stay so special: Edwin (manager), Rebecca (front desk), Jorge (maintenance), Norma (housekeeping), and Antonio. Apologies if I missed anyone. You are all wonderful.

Pantai Inn was such a lovely surprise and one of the most enjoyable hotel experiences I’ve had in a long time. The oceanfront location is beautiful, peaceful, and incredibly relaxing. Falling asleep with the fresh sea air and the sound of the ocean was something truly special. The hotel is very well maintained and thoughtfully organized. The staff was kind, attentive, and made the entire stay feel easy and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent — fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. I especially loved the charming two-level breakfast area and the beautiful dishes, which made the morning feel even more special. My room was spotless, cozy, and equipped with everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable, the linens were fresh, the towels looked brand new, and having a refrigerator, stove, and dishes in the room was very convenient. The room itself is not very large, but the space is used so well that it feels comfortable and welcoming. I left Pantai Inn feeling completely relaxed and very happy with my stay. It is a warm, charming place with a wonderful atmosphere, and I would gladly return again and again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay by the ocean.

Had a wonderful stay at The Pantai Inn last wknd. Even though the weather was not great the Inn was fabulous. We booked a 1 Bedroom Ocean Front Suite it had an amazing view of the ocean and the waves were huge it was a sight to behold. Lots of space for 3 ladies to stay comfortably -- the bed was nice and the Murphy Bed was very comfy too.| There was a great fire place and 2 recliner chairs set up in front of the windows to over look the ocean.|They have a golfcart to take you into the town which is right there but we didn't want to walk in the rain. The staff was so kind and helpful - they offer complimentary breakfast and on a nice day you can sit outside in their lovely courtyard and enjoy it. Just a really cute and affordable Inn we had a wonderful stay thanks to everyone on staff!!

I had an amazing stay at the Pantai Inn, it really feels like a beach vacation! I was a bit worried about the rooms and booked another hotel in la Jolla first - just to change mid travel after seeing the Pantai Inn in person. Do the rooms need renovation? Yes, BUT the outside areas to sit and relax in, the ocean view, the friendliness of the staff and the location all make up for it! The hotel has such a good and calming vibe.

We had an amazing stay at Pantai Inn! The location is perfect, conveniently located right next to the beach, making it so easy to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming and truly made us feel at home. You can tell they genuinely enjoy working there by the way they treat their guests. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay special. The rooftop was one of our favorite spots to relax, unwind, and listen to the sound of the ocean. The breakfast was also delicious and a wonderful way to start the day! Our room was small, but absolutely adorable, comfortable, and very clean. We also loved the convenience of the golf cart service, they took us wherever (within a mile) we needed to go, which was such a nice extra touch. We would definitely recommend staying at Pantai Inn and would love to come back!

We stayed in the Superior Suite with an ocean view, and the accommodations were even better than I expected. The view is phenomenal from both inside and on the balcony. Has a separate bedroom w/ a pocket door. Bathroom wasn't large but had plenty of counter space. Also had a small kitchenette in the comfortable main room. We loved everything about our stay here! The included breakfast is plentiful & delicious with seating indoors or out on the patio with more of that gorgeous ocean view—don't walk away from your food as there are always gulls lurking nearby for the first opportunity to feast! The location is absolutely perfect. Only steps away from Scripps Park and the harbor seals at the Children's Pool & only a few minutes' stroll along the ocean promenade to La Jolla Cove. I even walked from here to La Jolla Shores & back (about 30 mins each way—with lovely views along the Coastal Walk for about half the way).

I can't say enough good things about this hotel! I booked last minute and wasn't really sure what to expect. The staff were really the stars of the trip - probably the most helpful, friendly and accommodating staff I've ever had (and I travel a lot for work). The room was older but charming/not rundown and had a renovated bathroom. Felt more like an airbnb room than a hotel. The location was fantastic, right next to the ocean with a rooftop view. I loved being so close to the ocean side park and sea lions. Parking was tight but available and reasonably priced. Restaurants and shops were all within walking distance, just up a big flight of stairs. Although they have a free golf cart service, so if the stairs are an issue, no problem, take the golf cart! It was really easy to stop in throughout the day to use the restroom or grab a complimentary water. There is also an outdoor sitting area with an ocean view and bar that was a nice reprieve from all the sightseeing. The free refreshments and daily homemade cookies were really the cherry on top of a great stay! This stay felt like White Lotus in the best way.
