For a hearty breakfast, Kono's Cafe is a local favorite just a short walk away. For tacos, try Taco Surf or Oscar's Mexican Food, and for wings, Dirty Birds is a good pick. If you want oceanfront dining, World Famous and Cannonball offer meals with a view. Other nearby options include Crushed, Swell Coffee Company, Rocky's Crown Pub, and The Mission. You are also close to Pacific Beach's many eateries along Garnet Avenue, so exploring on foot will turn up plenty more choices.
The hotel sits on busy Mission Boulevard in Pacific Beach, about half a block from the ocean and a 4-minute walk from Mission and Pacific Beaches. The immediate area has a few hotels, time-share properties, and apartment complexes, with residential homes farther east. It is a slightly quieter part of Pacific Beach, but a short walk southwest leads to the main boardwalk action. The neighborhood is between Mission Bay and La Jolla, with over 150 bars and eateries nearby. You can enjoy ocean activities like surfing, kayaking, and boogie boarding right at the beach.
From San Diego International Airport (SAN), the hotel is about 15 minutes away by car. Taxis and rideshare services are readily available at the airport for a direct trip to Pacific Beach. If you prefer public transit, MTS bus routes 8 and 9 connect Pacific Beach to the Old Town Transit Center, where you can catch the Trolley. The nearest train station is Santa Fe Depot, about 16.3 km from the hotel, so a taxi or rideshare is the most straightforward option from there.
For evening outings, you’re a 7-minute walk from the Mission Beach Boardwalk, where the oceanfront scene and nearby eateries like World Famous and Cannonball offer dinner with a view. For a livelier pace, Pacific Beach’s Garnet Avenue is dotted with bars and cafes, and you can also stop by JRDN Restaurant for steak, sushi, and seafood near Crystal Pier. If you prefer a quiet evening, the beach itself is just half a block away for a sunset stroll. La Jolla Shores Park is 6.4 km north if you want a longer coastal wander, and rideshare or a short drive can reach Belmont Park (3.4 km) for its amusements.
PB Surf Beachside Inn is a great base for exploring San Diego, especially if you enjoy the beach. You are a 4-minute walk from Mission and Pacific Beaches and 7 minutes from the Mission Beach Boardwalk. Belmont Park is 3.4 km away, SeaWorld San Diego is 4.9 km, and Mission Bay Park is 5.0 km, so those are a short drive or rideshare trip. La Jolla Shores Park is 6.4 km and Old Town San Diego is 7.5 km, which are also easy to reach by car. For farther sights like Waterfront Park at 11.7 km, plan a longer trip. The hotel's location puts you right in Pacific Beach, with the ocean and local spots close by.
