My friend and I came from Hawaii to celebrate her 40th birthday, and we couldn’t have picked a better place to start our girls’ trip. We spent three nights at the Pendry and wish we’d booked the whole stay here. The service was wonderful, and Sarah at Provisional deserves a special mention for making us feel so welcome. We loved the food and cocktails at Provisional and Fifth & Rose, enjoyed a great lunch at the rooftop bar. The gym was pristine, with a good selection of equipment. The rooms were lovely, although there was a noticeable musty smell that took away from the experience a little. Our massages were excellent, but the spa itself felt a bit dated. Given the treatment prices and the hotel’s five-star reputation, I had hoped for more in terms of spa amenities. Even with those details, we wish we’d stayed here for our entire trip. We moved to another hotel as planned, but we’ve been back to the Pendry’s restaurants every day since checking out. Clearly, we weren’t quite ready to leave! We’ll happily stay here again.

For us, the quality of the service staff determines the quality of our stay. Special shout out to our server Nam (10/23/26 breakfast) for going the extra mile to make us feel really welcome at the Pendry. Really makes a difference. The hotel room was also very clean which made our stay comfortable.

Our stay at the Pendry was outstanding from start to finish. Everything was handled with care and precision, and the whole experience felt effortless. The service stood out most: the team was warm, attentive, and anticipated what we needed without ever being intrusive. A special shout out to Lorrie at the front desk, who went above and beyond. She was professional, gracious, and made us feel genuinely welcome. People like Lorrie are what turn a good hotel stay into a memorable one. We travel frequently and stay at many luxury properties around the world, and this one set a high bar. We're already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommended.

Beautiful and absolutely chic hotel in San Diego's Gaslamp district--4 minutes walk from Petco Park. The atmosphere matches the stunning Architectural Digest worthy interior design--minus any trace of stuffiness. Every single staff member we came into contact with was kind, attentive, and professional. This was probably one of the cleanest hotels I've visited as well, rooms and all spaces included. It's decadent without being overbearing. The showers were gorgeous and well thought out--watching the city skyline while showering was a memorable moment. The restaurants are top notch as are all of the accommodations--we even saw the owners of the Padre's staying here. So, if billionaires stay here, that's saying something. The Pendry has so much to offer, and we look forward to our next stay at Pendry, wherever in the world that may be.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Pendry San Diego. From the moment we arrived, the entire experience felt elevated, but what truly stood out was the exceptional service we received from Coy and Lorie. They went above and beyond to make us feel genuinely special and taken care of throughout our stay. They were incredibly helpful with the logistics of our trip, including coordinating a late checkout, and made everything feel effortless. What could have been stressful or complicated was handled with such ease and genuine warmth. We also booked our stay through Chase, which came with several hotel benefits, and Coy and Lorie were extremely helpful in making sure we understood and were able to take advantage of those benefits as much as possible. They were proactive, attentive, and clearly cared about making sure we had the best experience possible. Their level of hospitality really made a difference. It’s one thing to stay at a beautiful luxury hotel, but it’s the people who make you want to come back — and Coy and Lorie absolutely did that for us. We felt welcomed, valued, and genuinely cared for. We would happily stay at the Pendry again on a future visit!

I loved my stay at Pendry! We checked in late at night, and the staff was kind and helpful. I wish the valet wasn't so expensive because we brought a car. I enjoyed brunch at the attached restaurant and a beer at the attached brewery spot. My room was perfect—clean, spacious, decorated well, and had a nice view of the block. The pool area was super relaxing with attentive staff who took our drink orders from wherever we were and brought our cocktail over to us while we relaxed in the hot tub. It definitely gave a luxurious, upscale feel. The location was fantastic and walking distance to many restaurants as Gaslamp is a walkable area. It's also fairly close to the airport as well, as the city is. A great hotel.

She listened carefully to my concerns and went above and beyond to help me, always with a warm smile and an excellent attitude. Esme truly made me feel welcomed and cared for. It's absolutely beautiful hotel. Absolutely pricey, but you get what you pay for. The room was extremely clean and very comfortable. The property was gorgeous and very picturesque. Right in the heart of the gas lamp with lots to do around it. And great food everywhere. We will be coming back!!!
